This is the greatest band that has trod a stage on planet earth, their 50-year career, the intensity and quality of each of their concerts, the passion they still show today at 70 years of age, make it the greatest bands ever.
Such an underrated singer honestly. The way he simply roars in that second verse, and the falsetto leading up to that epic final verse that he absolutely owns. So much soul in that man.

@@iec7587 love all that you mentioned. I have seen Mick live but not the others and I believe you. Freddie was amazing, Bono would understand my comment. He has so much admiration for Bruce. Bruce wanted to be Mick when he was a teenager. When I first saw the Stones I was blown away by Mick's performance of 3 hours of nonstop dancing and singing and thought I would never see another come close to his energy until I saw Bruce live. I was 13 on this tour... it was my first live Bruce concert. My dad made sure to take me, and made sure to take my brothers He is a lifelong fan and knew we had to see him live for it to stick. And it did... I hated him as a young kid. Now I am 34 and will fight anybody on his behalf. THEIR behalf.
"your favorite record's on the turntable/ I drop the needle and pray" Bruce tapped into something truly divine on that album.

Love the Boss , big man Clarence and band. Still listening to this right now 25 December 2023 in Sydney Australia ❤🎉👏👍🎄❤😊👊
I love the album version, but this absolutely squashes it. Incredible.
Perhaps it’s just me but this song of joy has always seemed as interlude on the Rising Album. Bruce’s attempt to deal with the incomprehensible horror of 9/11, an achievement in itself.

To me this song symbolises that feeling of "there is still joy" after someone died and you sit around playing the persons favourite songs and go "oh do you remember that time with the crocodile?". This is the song I've decided to be played as the last song on my funeral. Because I want people to leave with a feeling of "yeah she might be gone but damn did we have a good time together when she was still here".
Danke unser wunderbarer Freund. Wir lieben Dich!! ❤️❤️🇨🇭
That performance was surely a masterclass in rock n roll. Utterly amazing , what a band, no equal.
The first time I saw him was in 1978 on the Darkness tour. I left thinking, *knowing*, I had just experienced the greatest rock & roll that had ever been or would ever be. Here he is 24 years later, still the best live performer since the invention of amplification.

I have a kid coming in a few weeks and I hope some day I'll be able to share this music with her.

Easy. He responds to the enthusiasm of the crowd. I've been to 64 shows (all in the US), starting with 3 on the 1978 Darkness tour - many fans claim that was when he was at his very best. I can't say that I've ever been part of a more enthusiastic crowd than this one in late Summer, 2002, in Barcelona. I mean, "The Rising," had just come out and the fans, most of whom don't speak English, except as a second or third language, already know the lyrics. Bruce has that audience eating out of his hand, and vice-versa. "Waiting' for the shout from the crowd."
Esse e nota 10 kkkk Amo
