Only an honorable good man respectfully brings his mother on stage❤

I was in line for 7 hours while 8 months pregnant to get tickets to see Bruce. In ‘88. It began to rain and everyone was standing outside ( me sitting in a lawn chair), when they told everyone to come back tomorrow. They had a big box and asked you to draw a number from the box. That number signified where we were to be in line the next day. I was very happy as it put me much closer to the front of the line than where I was. I bought a black top and put big white lettering on it that said, “This baby is dancing in the dark” and wore it to the concert. People guided me up to the front where I was dancing with my big pregnant belly. Clarence Clemons was playing sax as he saw me. He pointed me out to Bruce. Bruce was very pleased and began to serenade me dancing back and forth while I was. Best concert moment for me ever!!

Bruce Springsteen was not in my favorites when I was in the middle of my life, being a young mother. Now I am 85 and I am hooked. Every evening I listen to the dancing in the dark, the rhythm of it is outstanding. When he was just getting stardom with his first edition, it makes me young again to listen to it,,,,now I am listen to the later version. It shows his energetic face and all his memories of stardom printed into it.I must be crazy, but I still love the very first version. It makes me think I am a teenager again. Thank You, Sir...!!!!!! I just had a hip replacement surgery and I recovered quickly, because I was dancinf in the dark holding on to my dinner table.Your music fan Karin .

OMG! I am 85 too and just really beginning to enjoy him! Have you seen him do "If I Should Fall Behind"? Can't stop listening to it.

This song gave me my 15 minutes ( and much more ) of fame...in 1985 i attended a week long residential event hosted by the Prince's Trust, geared towards helping young people choose their career path...on the last day the then Prince Charles attended and a disco was set up in his honour...now I wanted to give my mum a surprise and asked the cameramen filming the event how I could get on TV...They said ask him( Prince Charles) to dance...The dj put this my favourite song at the time on and I thought to myself it's now or never, so I did ask him to dance and he did dance with me to this very song....my mum certainly got a surprise when she put the national news on and when she saw my photo of the occasion on the front page of The Times the next morning!...Thank you Bruce and King Charles for giving me my moment in the spotlight and my very unique claim to fame...✨️...Rest in peace Adele...🙏...we love you Bruce...💜

Its incredible to think this man is in his seventies now and still selling out stadiums all over the world and still sounding as good as he did 40 years ago. Just incredible

The way Bruces goes to his mom and move his hand is something so pure and lovely. I am living in another city alone and this brings tears to my eyes because it makes me appreciate my mom. I miss her but I can’t wait to see her again. This performance is just magical. God’s love is present there.

when i saw it, i wished my mom was still alive so that we could dance together... we never did, when she was alive, i'm sorry about it. I love Bruce Springsteens music and his attitude.

This is everything. Pure joy and love, and you just get the feeling that everyone on that stage are good people. I love how Steve suggests to Bruce to bring his sister on to play some guitar, and Bruce's face: "Oh, yeah, I can do that!". This is everything that's right in the world.

Definitely dancing with his mother showed us that no matter how much fame an artist may have he is still a human being who shows affection and gratitude in this case to his mother and then to top it off dancing with his sister highlighting the family union that is currently being lost by this decadent system .... I’m glad to see that there aren’t many negative comments about this Bruce performance! I am going on 70 now, and also a ‘Jersey Girl’, who grew up with this kind of music. Still today, I love ALL genres, and THIS is just one of many ‘classics’ imo. * I saw Coldplay in concert in ‘22, and at the very end Bruce came out as a surprise guest and did this song (and another one) with Chris Martin. It got a LOT of booing from the ‘younger’ audience and IDK why - they were both 👍 I thought!

The best part is when you dance with your mom. She looks so happy, her face is glowing. She must be so proud of you. Great son!

Dancing in the Dark has never been one of my favourite Springsteen tracks. I think he has done vastly better songs over the years in basically every way. But this performance never fails to make me smile. The energy, the crowd, the sense of companionship between everyone on that stage. It's just perfect.

3:00 A.M. and I’m up watching this. Cannot sleep because this was playing in my head. So I gave in and am rewatching the video over and over. I think it’s cool that the U.K. loves “The Boss.”

Just love how Soosie gets into the spirit of the song. Love her violin too. Then there is the bonus of seeing how lovingly he dances with his mum, a nd the affection shown between Bruce and his sister.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

No matter how many times I watch that clip it brings a tear to my eye, especially when his mother is brought on stage and the crowd erupts. Bruce really is in my humble opinion the best to ever do it. The songs, the showmanship, everything. And even as he gets older, doesn’t show as many signs of stopping as most of his peers. We are truly lucky to have Bruce!

I din't realize that was his mom! She must be sooo proud of him, but likely worried for years that he'd never amount to anything.

This man is a legend and this song is so great. When I hear this song wherever I am I just wanna tell people dance with me it is Bruce

Reckon I've watched this clip around 100 times, and EVERY time, find myself smiling at the end. Powerful, powerful stuff.

3 years later, I’ve now seen this live. Cardiff 05/05/2024. Sounded just how I had hoped and it was phenomenal! I wouldn’t recommend anything more than seeing him live! It’s something I’ll never forget

What a wonderful thing to see the affection of Bruce dancing with his mother on stage ... it is thrilling ... and then with his younger sister ... Bruce is an incredible showman ... the Best of all time .. .Always and Forever !!! ❤️❤️
