Vince was rubbish , he was the owner , he couldn’t let the experts do there job . Heenan and monsoon and Jesse and monsoon were the best combo period. This was still when Jack Tunney as president for wwf was portraying an on air character, Vince was still just known as an announcer even though he was the owner . He was the shits

@@Reck46 I don't think Vince was good. Was he better than Michael Cole? Yes. Did Jesse pair well with him? Yes. And that is a testament to Jesse's ability as a heel announcer that he did well with McMahon.

I don't think it'll happen. Prichard seems very uncomfortable discussing Ventura. I'm guessing either Ventura deeply disliked him or he's just scared of getting sued. So the episode wouldn't be fun. I'm not sure I've ever seen a personality elicit such a meek response from Prichard as Ventura. Not just here but throughout this whole podcast series.

Bruce is trying to paint that Jesse regretted leaving and panicked but it was obvious that Jesse had a plan. He has had massive success since leaving the WWF.

Bruce's ill will so to speak comes from the fact Jesse stood up to Vince and then went on to have success without being an WWF/ Titan Sports employee denying Vince the income as well as the ability to brag that one of his employees is doing this

After listening to this entire thing, it's hard to tell if Bruce has no idea what Jesse has accomplished in his *incredibly-accomplished life AFTER wrestling,* or thinks his listeners are complete idiots who have no idea. Either way, Bruce desperately tries to make it look like Jesse didn't have MUCH bigger dreams than just wrestling -- and he very much accomplished them.

Quite a few ads here. I'd say the ad lengths I would have gotten would be triple the length of video. Ad blockers are becoming a big thing because of this and it's widely known that the new KZread ad system is very simple to opt out of at this point. I'm down to support channels when they don't assault the viewers with ads and ad reads.

Jesse, even though he is an independent contractor Vince McMahon feels he should be able to dictate to Ventura how he runs his life! Typical Vince McMahon being a dictator. So Jesse tried to organize a union, sued Vince and in the end, Vince paid him a hefty sum to referee a match at Wrestlemania so if you add it up I would say Jesse won. You always beat Vince when you don't need him!

Jesse and I even talked about this very subject. Being independent contractors at that time, we were self employed and we decided who to do business with and making sure that the terms were agreeable. He didn't want to be dictated to again because Verne ( Gagne) did that to him for years

I only met Jesse a few times when I trained at Muscle Junction in the Summer of 82. I was 184 lbs soaking wet and skinny as a rail and I wanted to be a bodybuilder but I knew nothing. Jesse was 6'5 and 265lbs with a long spiked goatee and was very intimidating. Yet, he talked to a nobody like me for almost 2 hours and I felt privileged as he answered all my questions. He doesn't remember, but I will never forget him being so generous with his time. Met his son who was 5 at the time and who is now taller than the both of us. A class act and a real man.

Missed him a few years back on his book tour when he signed copies of his latest at Barnes and Noble in Rosedale. Unusual for Army and Navy to get along so well. I could listen to his stories about Gagne and the AWA for hours, you are a lucky guy. Would love to hear him and Greg go back and forth. Greg missed his calling he should have been a heal and slapped Verne on camera for holding him down (lol). That would have been a hot angle!

Roddy wasn't the Georgia Championship Wrestling version as far as doing commentary went. WWF Piper in commentary was GOOFY as hell. Also Ventura left because Vince was salty that he didn't own the Jesse the Body Ventura name. Jesse owned it & trademarked it himself. He has said it in numerous shoot interviews. Listen to the Stone Cold podcast episode when Jesse talked about how Vince screwed him out of pay for appearing on several episodes of the NBC show Hunter
