Thumbs up! And don’t forget Steve McQueen was meant to be there that night but he cancelled his plans to attend, but what would have happened if he had been there? And imagine if Bruce Lee was there that evening, would events have turned out differently with Bruce disarming the attackers and being the hero or would he have been killed long before his movie career had even begun?

Roman didn’t really think Bruce Lee did it. Because Roman knows who did it. This was an orchestrated event that they’d never get away with now. People underestimate the total trust we used to have in police and authority and journalists. Now we know better.

His nephew lies and tries to sugar coat everything his p.o.s. uncle did. Anybody with any real knowledge of the case would spot right off it's full of lies and factual errors. He conveniently omits his and Voytek picking up the young men on the strip and what they did to them and Billy Doyle too. He was a serial r____t and killer. They filmed everything they did and the LAPD found the tapes at his house and at Cielo. He even lies about him being mob and dealing drugs. He's just another money grabber. This is all from the LAPD files and covered in Chaos by Tom 0'neill. None of it is disputed. It was common knowledge in Hollywood before the killings

I have yet to read that book as I don’t own it in my collection yet but it’s crazy that Bruce Lee himself kinda turned himself in from Polanski for the Sharon Tate killing whereas Polanski in a decade later have committed sexual abuse of a 13 year old girl. Quite intriguing but depressing story for Bruce Lee of course. Didn’t know that the original script Lee wrote for The Silent Flute contained some scenes of extreme violence. Meanwhile Polanski also used that nasty method for The Tragedy of Macbeth to reflect his perspective on the Sharon Tate killing.

At Jay Sebring's funeral, Bruce was also there, but I certainly think there are no images. I was also searching, I didn't find anything, at least in the images that we know today. When NBC made this recording, Bruce Lee was just another actor, and they didn't even know him. If you look closely at the images, you could say that he is a person who is out of place, completely alone, staring into the abyss. For many years those images have been on KZread, many people saw those images but no one realized who that was.

I was always under the impression that Manson targeted that house. Because it was out of revenge. He had done an audition as he sang and played guitar. And he was rejected for the position in a show or movie and he was mad about it. Polanski should have known that Bruce had nothing to do with that. He wouldn't be working with those people and suddenly do sadistic things to them. What would have been his motivation? And I'm sure Bruce probably had a solid alibi. Manson and his family were very sick, demented people.

I have both Sharon and Bruce tattooed on the same arm. Two flames extinguished way too soon. I also don't subscribe to the whole 'Helter Skelter' theory regarding the murders. If one was to connect the dots, there are links to a couple of those that were in the house (not naming names) to the Manson family, and specifically Tex Watson. There is a theory that what actually happened is closer to the murder of Gary Hinman, at the hands of family member Bobby Beausoleil just a week prior - and that is, to cut a long story a short, a drug deal that went severely wrong, resulting in Charlie ordering them to go back and kill everyone and make it look like it was a race attack. The LaBianca murders the night after was then conducted to purposely hone in on the race attack angle. I think the entire Manson family bought in to the Helter Skelter motive because it made them (or Charlie) seem smarter than they actually were. It's the accepted motive. It was over 50-years-ago. Speculating doesn't bring any of them back. On the Roman thing... yeah, I can totally see him speculating Bruce given how easily he could've taken out five people - but that's the only part of it that made sense, and I think Polanski knew that and was relieved that he didn't have confront Bruce about it. He also accused Jon Philips of the Mamas and the Papas because he found out about the affair between Polanski and his wife Michelle Philips - that was much more logical. 😂

The tattoo sounds cool, mate. I've never read the book Helter Skelter by Vincent Bugliosi (I've heard it's a good read) but it sounds a bit like fiction to me. I've been watching quite a bit of the Tate/LaBianca murders lately & some interviews with Manson, & I think the Gary Hinman/Bobby Beausoleil drug deal thing is more feasible. Like you said "speculating doesn't bring them back" but I can't help but feel Charles "Tex" Watson was the real instigator of the murders. Manson & his cult family makes for a better story. In all the Manson interviews, he never admits to any murders, but owns up to cutting of Gary Hinman's ear. I guess we'll never know for sure. I didn't know about Jon Philips 😆

It would be pretty amazing if Polanski released footage of Bruce (if he had some) 👍

Wow didn't know anything about this, most I hear is Bruce was killed, not him being a killer

Excellent video Stripey, I thoroughly recommend the book Helter Skelter by Vincent Bugliosi on the Manson murders. Its probably the best true crime book ever written by the man who prosecuted the Manson Family Bruce doesn't get a mention, but another of his students/Hollywood legend Steve McQueen is mentioned. Apparently McQueen was so paranoid that he would targeted next he was driving around Hollywood armed. As your a fan of 60s music and culture i think you will find it really interesting Hope all is well & keep up the great work!

I think both Steve McQueen and Bruce became very security conscious after the Manson murders but then a lot of the Hollywood fraternity did. And after Bruce went back to Hong Kong to do the Big Boss he carried a gun because of challengers who were becoming ever increasing. There is an interesting Ted Thomas phone interview with Bruce in 1971 about that.

I think the idea of Bruce being a ‘suspect’ over the glasses by Polanski is just bonkers…He did a really good job working on the Wrecking Crew with Sharon Tate…My only regret about the tragedy with those Manson murderers is that if Bruce had been there as a guest he would have used his JKD to annihilate those knife wielding lunatics and saved the lives of Sharon Tate and the others who lost their lives… He wouldn’t have used the ornate moves for the camera. He would have been, simple , direct to decisive targets finishing off life threatening danger as fast as possible. And NOBODY could beat Bruce on the intercept. Nobody…And this wasn’t movies with edit cuts..This was reality witnessed by other martial artists like Ed Parker, Bob Wall,,Dan Inosanto, Ted Wong, Richard Bustillo and many others…Before he passed away in his 90s a year ago I had PMessage conversations with boxer and martial artist LEO FONG and he said..’Bruce could read your intent in a fight and intercept you like a high speed bullet’ (as Bruce explained in his character in the first Longstreet episode) Leo talked to Bruce on the phone the day after the Wong Jack Man fight and he was telling me what Bruce had said to him. Leo said he would go around to Bruce’s house in the 1960s and would find him watching 16 mm movies of Muhammad Ali’s fights in a mirror or from behind the projection screen in order to observe Ali’s fighting style in REVERSE. He said on martial art Bruce’s mind never stopped and neither did his training.

Sharon Tates baby from what I gather was cut from the womb they only did that to babies born of color and women carrying babies of color back then I'm willing to bet that baby Sharon was carrying was Bruce's that's a stretch but think about it why did Bruce become so paranoid after the murders because he knew more about what happened not saying he was their but he probably heard something tried to warn her beforehand maybe he went to the house saw what happened got his family out of town after attending Sharon's funeral you notice you only see Bruce not his wife because Bruce and Sharon were intimate roman didn't like it tried to Frame Bruce it backfired and maybe Roman also had a little or alot to what Happened to Bruce that explains the extreme paranoia he had during Enter the Dragon the man was surrounded by enemies he didn't have a chance damn shame
