I love Way Of The Dragon, it really does showcase Bruce Lee's abilities. It is such a shame that Bruce passed away before he finished Game Of Death.

Great collection. I’ve had most of those, But eventually sold them all or passed them on to friends, and only kept the Arrow addition and the Criterion one. I remember when Hong Kong legends released their versions and I was so excited. Before then, I had never seen Bruce Lee’s Martial Arts movies It looks so good. it amazes me how they’ve released these movies over and over again and no one’s decided to cash in on releasing the Green Hornet series remastered, as well as Longstreet and the movie Marlowe on Blu-ray. They are part of Bruce Lee‘s Legacy and can include plenty of supplemental material.

I wonder what wonders we might have in another four years Stripey. We’ve had the two best Bruce Lee boxsets in that time. Simply amazing. Enjoy your holiday buddy

The master collection is my favourite and I have it on both dvd and blu ray brilliant episode stripey well done.

Have just spent the past couple of hours rewatching your most recent videos Stripey. A birthday treat! 🎂

The first Hong Kong Legends DVD release of _Way of the Dragon_ was the first film that I ever bought on DVD. I instantly fell in love with what was the first time that I ever had the chance to experience the film with all of the previous BBFC cuts waived, the ability to watch it with the original dialogue with English subtitles (which works better for that particular film), whilst it was a joy to experience the audio commentary (which was not only by Bey Logan but he was also accompanied by the late Jon Benn on this occasion).

Stripey! How did you not know the 2000 DVDs were uncut?! It was a red letter day when Big Boss came out for me and my mates! We’d all just turned 18 too so the first HK Legends dvd was my first legit 18 purchase! Also Ferman was out on his arse more or less from 1998 at the BBFC! But we can all agree Ferman would never have released them uncut ever! I kept my HKL 1st releases because it reminds me of being young and the whole life ahead of me. I remember they released all Bruce’s movies over a one year period on the HK label. No, tell a lie, it was three years cos big boss came out when I was in Y12 and game of death came out when I was at uni so that’s at least 2-3 years. I got so excited with each new release! Thanks for another great vid, mate!

Japan released their 4k versions. They released a special blu ray box set of Way of the Dragon. Again thanks for the great vid review of your collection😊

Great collection Stripey. I often tell myself I won't buy this or that version, but it's hard when you're a completist/collector. The Arrow set is so out of this world, that it will be tough to top, but never say never, because there is still footage out there. Tops my list at the moment, though. I do love the 25th anniversary ETD box, though. I have the VHS version. It got me back into Bruce when it was released. Thanks, Stripey...

Nice collection! Like you I have multiple versions of the same film... I think its an Obsession I had since a kid. The UK VHS films hurt me how badly they were cut, not only that but I could barely ever find them.

I've got quite a few sets. Just acquired the Legacy Set with the amazing book. I've got the Master Collection, and the Hong Kong Legends collection...cannot beat the amazing Yellow Box Set Arrow collection 👏👏👏

I sold all of mine as and when I upgraded over the years. I put my Enter The Dragon 4K disc in the Arrow boxset, went for the yellow box too and it really is a thing of beauty. My favourite 4K release by far.

Nice. I was disappointed with WB effort regarding ETD, its a good transfer but in my humble opinion, it could have been better, but it's the best we've seen so far. Thanks as always 😉👍

The Shout! Factory individual releases are actually different than the Legacy Collection. They used 4K scans and were color-corrected. Big Boss added a Brandon Bentley commentary which was later ported to the Criterion set. GoD added a second disc that included the Mandarin/Cantonese version of the film. They were released a few years after the Legacy Collection.

In the 70's and 80's I had films on 8mm cine film. I was so excited for the Dan Inosanto GOD fight. Couldn't make out a bloody thing!!

I had enter the dragon 25th ann boxset it had vhs and cd and dvd in it weired .should have keept it .great video what a collection of dvds etc .not sure where you put them all .amazing as he only made 5 films how many vertions they brought out.like yourself i saw cut films first then when uncut ones came out it blowed my mind .long live bruce lee

Nice collection Stripey. I still have a couple of the Rank VHS tapes. Cost me a fortune back in the day. Agree about ETD. Picture could of been so much better quality. I have all the new 4K movie on my Apple account. They look amazing! Though, none come with special features on there, which is a shame, so I might buy the blu rays off Amazon. Very nice collection there Stripey 👍👍 Keep them coming.🙂 I like the ones that you refer to as "The Rank releases" as these more represented the cinema posters (also EtD dvd/Blu) than those others that you have there by artists (which for me is aimed at the newer/younger generation) and I rather prefer dvds with the artwork taken from the Original film posters at the time......but a lot of companies don't do that apart from possibly Shout and a few others but not as many as I would like imo.

I have the box set but mine has the VHS tape inside... 🤗 I really enjoy your episodes.... can't wait for your next one

I Had first one you showed , but I Gave it to Good Will , and I Got one DVD Box Set , that i Got From Barnes And Noble that i didn't see that you had and you maybe had it and i might have fallen asleep I am 66 , your video presentation are good it's me like you tell your girl when breaking up LOL . And the Big Boss Version in that Box Set had something that I didn't notice that was in other Big Boss Version , When the Bruce Lee Character would show his Necklace where he promised that he wouldn't fight , it played a strange music , sort on the order of a music box sound , it may have been in the other version , but i don't remember hearing that music in them .

Hi Stripey, I have quite a few of those, and yes, the Arrow Box Set Is the best so far. I have the Pre-Cert CED disc and the Pre-cert Betamax and VHS versions of Enter The Dragon. One that never comes up, when owners show their collections. Is The HD-DVD version of ETD. This looks stunning with a Almighty thumping sound to It as well. It's the the only format you get Jet LI's Unleashed In 5.1 surround. This Is not even on the blu-Ray copy of It either. Good Look and Keep on Looking, They are out there.

My wife overheard the start of this video in the other room and came in saying, “Oh a new video from Snappy? What’s he talking about today?” 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have some of these. The first collection though was The Master Collection by 20th Century Fox. I have that same big box 25th Anniversary of Enter the Dragon. Mine is from 1998 and is actually VHS. I was surprised you didn’t show the Bruce Lee Ultimate Collection by 20th CF/Fortune Star. I’m still kicking myself for NOT preordering the Arrow Set. It sold out pretty much before the public sale. I reached out to Arrow about a resupply and they said NOPE. it was a Limited Edition Set and there will be NO MORE. The individual disks look nice but I don’t think you get the supplemental goodies like booklets and reproduction stills. Loved this video though. Keep ‘em coming!

I hope there a bringing the original reel Version on the blu rays that will be awesome!!!!

I love your collection Stripey. You are a true fan. Very cool video. I was not aware of all these editions of Bruce Lee’s Films. On another note, I hope you will do an extensive video review of Enter The Clones of Bruce Lee. I bought it to stream. Man….it took me three days to watch. Not because it isn’t a well put together documentary. It is well done, even featuring a Bruceploitation film that was released while Mr. Lee was alive. He knew about it and was not happy. This is my point. It took me three days to watch because of how disgusted I was at how the producers, distributors etc cheaply marketed the Lee name, legacy and image. Aside from the Green Hornet ones, which I give a pass to because they are 3 actual episodes of tv show in each film, extending the fight scenes. The second one I’d watch is Sammo Hung’s Enter The Fat Dragon and the remake with Donnie Yen, because they are not simply cash grabs, but films with true affection for Bruce Lee with a certain level of integrity. Maybe I’m wrong, but what I got from the film was there were filmmakers hungry to exploit and cash in on Bruce Lee’s name, no matter how ridiculous these plots are and how the quality of them seem very shoddy. The big budget Game of Death 1978 to me is the worst one, even though it at least has 11 minutes of the real Bruce in the finale. Now that I think about it, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story should be included in this bunch too.

You know what would be a great review by you? The newly published Bruce Lee COMIC BOOK adaptation of Way of the Dragon! It's in stellar painting, and for the vid you'd probably should do the hardcover version, it looks more prestige for a video (as there's a soft paperback version). Of course Shannon Lee produced an original Bruce Lee comic book series, but it wasn't much I must say, but the Way of the Dragon painted adaptation is so cool.

It really is crazy how much they have released these movies, Not sure if you knew but, When HKL released the Platnium editions on dvd the image quality got improved because they struck a deal with Fortune Star in Asia who had done 4k remasters, which in effect resulted in better picture quality on the dvds. Also when mediumrare bought them out on bluray they used the older masters of the films, which is why later on with that master collection they brought them out they included the actual 4k remasters on bluray, just a shame that time they didn't use the Rank Home Video covers on the reverse and the booklets, Also when Shout Factory released that coffee book set, yup they used the old masters of the films, so that is why later on they released them all indervisualy under there American titles, which were then struck from the 4k Asian masters to result in better picture quality. I was a bit like you having em and getting rid for the next best thing, least I've got some of the better releases and of course the magnum opus of all boxsets that absolutely beautiful Arrow 4k set, which is defiantly the best one of the lot, by the way I love your vids. P.S Our wife's will never understand why we keep rebuying the same bloody movies 🤣👍.

I'd go with the Arrow Video stuff for 4KBD. For BD, I am happy enough with the Criterion Collection ones and I think I have an old Shout Factory BD of Game Of Death as well as a remastered WB BD of Enter The Dragon (CC is better).

Where are the laser discs? Those are the first things I bought with my first job. I dropped two paychecks for 5 Laserdisc widescreen movies and player. I remember trading a VHS dub of those widescreen for a 12 link nunchuku. These Arrow 4K's are the first thing that surpassed that feeling I had when I seen the full image all those years ago. Seeing that dude shoving that sign in hus mouth in the Chinese Connection off the side of the screen was comical gold for me. Sure first guy was forced...but to force yourself with that much effort!!!

Hi Stripey - avery impressive collection. The 'master collection' from Fox. Question for you. In that collection 'Return of the Dragon" A.K.A ' The Way of the Dragon'. Is that the american distributors version? That removed some of the opening scenes and comical moments from the film. I believe that version also contains none of Bruce Lee's original war cries. They were dubbed over by an unknown voice " artist" for some odd reoson. Anyway, I would love to own your 1999 'Enter the dragon 25th anniversary special edition'. That is one cool box set and the Hong Legends Box set is another belter. Among my own collection I have an original Betamax of the uncut Rank release of ' Fist Of Fury' in its original box. This is a rare piece because James Ferman got hold of all the further releases of ' Fist' and had them censored until 1999/2000.

I often wonder how Fist of Fury slipped through the cracks on video. I made a copy of one I'd rented from the library. The first time I saw the cut version was at the cinema in 1986.

Is there a interview missing on the arrow version of the legend documentary? I seem to remember a chinese priest who taught Bruce in high school on the vhs talking about teenage Bruce? Cheers Stripey 🙌

Brother Henry? I remember him appearing in a documentary I had on VHS called "The Life of Bruce Lee" AKA "Bruce Lee - Martial Arts Master".

I would have picked up the Arrow box set but all were damaged since Arrow did not send out properly.

I have the 1982 VHS version of Enter the Dragon.

What is the best version of enter the dragon ...I mean is it crisp and sharp? I saw the version in the cinama not long ago I had hoger hopes it was still grainy ..

It's subjective, mate. I think the 4K is the best so far, but I believe it could have been better. I too saw it at the cinema 👍

I bought the blu ray version of the Arrow box set as I didn't have a 4K TV at the time. Then, I got a massive bonus at work, so I bought a new TV, a PS5 and all the Bruce Lee films in 4K! Bonus all gone, but well worth it! I nearly didn't bother with the 4K Game of Death, but caved in a few days ago when I saw it for £17.99 on eBay. I also bought the Mediumrare blu rays and reversed the covers. I bought all the Hong Kong Legends Collectors Editions on release, as well as the Platinum Game of Death, but only got the Platinums of TBB, FoF and WotD recently, after seeing your video about them.

i got my 40th anniversary blu ray today didnt come with patch and the lenticular boooooo

when are we going to see a new bruce lee movie made with a. i inteligence
