We wanted everyone to have a chance to hear the original version of "Brother Michael's Song", as sung by its author - the late Mac Carson.
This is a Highlander filksong Leslie instantly fell in love with when she heard it. She sung it at convention after convention, and urged people to nominate it for the 'Pegasus' fan award for filk songwriting. It's also on Leslie's "Angel with a Sword" and "Fish Scraps" albums.

Beautiful and amazing. Rip mac carson
I never had any great fondness for the *_Highlander_* films, and less for the TV series (which IIRC is what the filk is derived from), I do like this song in its own right. It's undeniably powerful as a song in its own right, never mind its position within some TV series fandom. What a shame that I'll never get to hear Mac Carson sing it at some convention.
