Ronnie Dunn is one of those singers who's awesome vocals sound exactly the same live as recorded. No autotune or special effects needed. Just real pure great singing.

He didn't originally want to sing this. He was born to.

I just sent this song to my ICU nurse Maria who took such great care of me during the worst time in my life. I had a massive widow maker heart attack on December 16th 2011 and was in the ICU for over 3 weeks and she’s the only one of my nurses that I remember because I was so incapacitated but many people helped me to leave that place but Maria (Crucita Garcia) holds a special place for many reasons. She even came to my wedding on Folly Beach six months later. We still stay in touch all these years later!

I meet Ronnie Dunn doing some work on his house and I’ll have to say he’s one of the coolest famous musicians I’ve ever met. Very down to earth, actually set down with me and listen to my music not ever knowing me from before! First class man! Pure legend!

I met Ronnie before a concert in Michigan and he was kind of an arsehole. We're all allowed an off day, I guess. Still a huge fan.

How great was that? 30 years later and they still nail the vocals and harmony just as good as they ever did. Amazing.

Music is so powerful and can help us in so many ways .i had a period in my twenties were i lost alot of friends and close family. From suicide 4wheeling accidents. To wrongful death at kaiser. To motorcycle wreck and at the services for all of them they played a song. Mostly a favorite song of theres and i to this day hear them and fight tears .songs i really would not care for. Yet i love .

Ronnie Dunn didn’t want to record this song, he felt it would not be as good as the original by B.W. Stevenson in 1973. Personally, I think he did a fantastic job recreating the energy that made it so popular and introducing his fans to a classic.

Agreed. The BW Stevenson original was awesome but to bring this song to a younger crowd was pretty cool.

Sensational! It's one of those songs which is difficult to pick the best rendition since nobody is even going to attempt singing it unless they can pull it off. Nobody is smoother than Ronnie.

Brooks & Dunn, real Country! This song has a lot of meaning to me. Lost my wife to Cancer, her name was Maria...she was "My Maria."

I became a Brooks and Dunn fan late in the game. But I still can't believe the voice on that man. And the girls going crazy.

Unlike a lot of artist these guys never disappoint an audience . They bring it and bring it hard . Ronnie is just a joy to watch . He is a great front man .

I'm not a big country fan but Brooks and Dunn are awesome. Love this song.

We saw Brooks & Dunn last night at the Blossom Center in Cuyogha Falls. Fantastic!! My favorite song of theirs. When the first few chords were played the crowd went nuts. One of the greatest duo's of all time.

That's for real. I first listened to BW Stephenson song in 1973 doing first year in High School. During funky weekends, it was played several times over and the encores would not fizzle out! I listened to Brooks & Dunn a few years ago and today. I am compelled to admit, it is a thrilling arrangement, especially so with its country spirit meshed up with a sweet stinging Rock'n' Roll guitar solo, you are left feeling the seventies, now!

Love seeing singers who can still sing live just as well decades after the songs release, especially with the higher notes

Aside from Ronald Dunn’s excellent vocals my favorite part of this song is the pedal steel and the backup vocals. I think they must have found the 3 prettiest singers on the planet for this concert.

I’m an old 1970s rocker who fell in love with this song from first listen when it dropped back then! And yet I absolutely DIG your version Boys! And you just flat TORE IT UP at this gig!! 🎉👊🍻

I love the original. Came out when I was a kid. But this is damn good. He really hits that high note.

Stunning redue of an old song...man that singer can sing, got some chops singing those high notes. Especially with those bodacious ta-ta's bouncing all over to distract him! Lol! What a great Artist great Voice!

One of the best concerts I ever attended was Montgomery Gentry and Brooks & Dunn in OKC. Ronnie Dunn had some of his family in audience that night. Outstanding show!!

Ronnie Dunn’s voice is still in amazing condition! He’s been singing well over 30 plus years! At his age, most singers have lost their vocal abilities and can no longer sing their hit songs as they had many years prior. If you don’t take care of your vocal cords and keep them in good shape along with the other key pieces that support singing then you lose it. Ronnie clearly still has it all! An incredible accomplishment on his part!

I have no idea how many times I would have to listen to that song before I got sick of it, then if you add watching those back up vocalists dance and perform, I’m gonna say nope no such thing as to much Brooks and Dunn and “My Maria”!!

I was preparing myself to think something like, “Awwwwe that’s nice…they are doing their best considering their age”. I was mistaken…big time. Ronnie’s strength and tone are still the real deal.

His falsetto technique is one of the best I've ever seen in music
