Started diy painting my cheap car. Got all the sanding and prep done then shot down a flat grey primer. Fell in love with it and ended up painting it the same color

Cool. I don't know if you are new at autobody type things. But true gritt customs, undergroud paint king. are great for painting. and using cheaper tools. Bondo billy it good for some metal work and painting. And a bunch of little tricks he learned over the years. He is losing his vision. So he is trying to let people learn his techniques and how to get a job done. What is crazy is the cost of wrap and it rarely last ten years.

​@non1503 wraps are great for more temporary color changes (like if you want a specific color for say a wedding, but wouldnt want it all the time, or to see if you like the color before fully committing to it), or like this video shows, adding a protective layer over your paint (which after i re-paint my car i will probably do)

I might be a little too old school but it reminds me of back in the day when we didn't have enough money to get our car painted, did our own body work and primer painted our cars ourself then stayed that way for the next 2 years lol

Matte finishes look absolutely awesome, only thing is to keep them clean. They get dusty almost instantly. Good Job guys!

Don’t. Don’t do that, not even that toaster deserves to be given the “I forgot the sealer and acrylic secondary coat” treatment. Matte works on one car, a cheap one, one that you will repaint yourself.

I personally prefer a high gloss finish, but that grey looks amazing in matte. Really nice car too.

The m2 doesn't look that bad all around..until you get to the back. The taillights look like GloRilla's eyes 👁 👁

Looks very cool of course but it will make the car temperature goes higher on sunny days. And before anyone says "well its light colored anyways it wont warm up" nope, the finish of the surface matters as well as the color, glossy finishes reflects more light thus retains less heat, matte finishes doesnt reflect much so it retains heat and heats up your car and reduces its efficiency and performance.
