For some reason I always put my folding lever or hook on top rather than on the bottom. Just find it quicker or not so awkward on the wrist when using.

I replaced the original with something like this, the thread gave out in the end and snapped in two, decided to put the brompton (steel i think) one back on, these parts are loadsa money in my case was a waste. Think about adding a mini Q Rack, well worth the roll x

@@bromptinowner763 Thanks! It looks like the bolt is aluminum. I hope the titanium bolts have no problem. I stay away from no name brand items. It would be nice if the companies stated the weight limits of some parts too.

@@BromptonFamilyTime every thing else about the clamp was fine just a shame the actual bolt was aluminium (soft metal). Still happily using the brompton one

I see the clip more to the left side. Not really centred. Happen to my Brompton too.

That looks like a really poor design for a seatpost clamp if it needs that much force to install

The clamping force is adjustable depending on how much you weigh.
