Brilliant video as always. I know this isn't a video about your eco warrior fight as you called it but it made me smile when you were both looking at what used to be an engine but has now decided to reinvent itself as a total piece of kack, Al said that he doesn't give up very easily. I've got a really good feeling that the Lulworth estate is going to find that out. But only after, quite rightly, brought kicking and screaming to see common sense. Very best of luck for the future for you and your parents.

I was surprised how much oil was left in it. When my Alfa 156 did a similar shedding of con rod components on the M62 it was akin to the Torrey Canyon disaster.

Had a t4 when i was a windscreen fitter loved it up and over tailgate was brilliant. Yep lets see trigger getting patched up.

As a mechanic, I have to be very desperate for work to work on the Land Rover. I’ve also now got a land cruiser after saved it from scratch because of the cracked head. Yer the OM606 or OM605 are the diesel version of the Toyota 2JZ.

Always great viewing from the 6D Diesels channel. Was the T4 a rare engine or just that particular one. It appears to have a weird shaped inspection hole mounted on the casing to inspect the internals. 😂 Perhaps lay a piece of glass on top of it and utilise it as a coffee table. Already waiting for the next episode.

Rare for an engine to go like that if it's been maintained usually low oil or never serviced. 😊

Engine stuff is always good. But the eco warrior has a lot of eco warriors also interested in what is going on with the dodgy look the other way give them a couple of grand environment agency people. He is based in an area of Dorset called *'Six Penny Handley'* & 'D' is the letter that was used for describing the old UK 1 penny coin, before decimalisation in 1971. So 6D means Six Penny.

19:20 Oh it's a belt engine. We had a 2.5 T4 that was timing gear but then again I think it was a later model T4. Await to be told otherwise. 😂😂 32:07 ... or just as reliable an M57 BMW 6 Cylinder.... I'll go wash my mouth out!!! 😂😂

2.5 t5 possibly t4 diesel are all belt 1.9/2.4 and the later 2.5 there is a 2.8 mvm gear driven engine but that was fitted in the bigger hp lt’s 👍

A quick question, can a earlier sprinter om 642 engine be used to replace a later euro 5 om642, I've been told not but i dont believe them ??

All the engine and gearboxes are sold fellas , and you can get a 1.9 black top to work like stabbed rat with a bit of work 👍

Injectors leaking off, broken o ring on the fuel quantity adjust or possibly a worn high pressure pump can even be caused by the water sensor in the fuel filter leaking air. Anyway there a few things to check 👍

@@6DDIESELSDorsetHonestly no idea how people blow up so many engines (yes I do, it's called lead in the boot...) my 2.2 FWD is up to 341k now on its original engine as a parcel van. I even snapped the chain on the M27 and had to do a car park rebuild (new chain kit) and she came back for more of a beating...

You could of patched up the hole and he could have used it as a 1.9tdi 😂

Wonder why so few videos on Japanese vans whose engines have shit themselves? I bet the T4 buyer paid £2.5k for that piece of shit, and even with a used engine, with a new clutch, service parts, and labour its going to be pretty close to a £4k van.............
