Broken Rod Redemption! Snap Jigging Stripers
In this episode of B Stav Fishing, I was out of redemption! I broke the tip off of a rod the previous day while tog fishing. A rod I've had for 30 years!!! After a quick repair (new top guide), I was hell bent on using this rod until I caught a striper with it. Persistence paid off! Redemption!!

Nice!! I seem to be a day late to the party this year.
I fell in under the midspan of the parkway right by Beasley's Point (40-50 degree , 60 ft deep wooder a mile from shore) and you can bet I bought a drysuit the next day... and a surf leash and a kill switch 'cause sometimes trolling motors on kayaks suck!

@@BStavFishing I jumped off right before it could flip so it stayed upright and I popped up with my hand on it. I knew that was my only chance to hold onto it. I love my Oldtown Kayak PFD so much now I even wear it on the jetties. On a different note, now that you have a drysuit, you might want to buy some Depends. It's never happened to me, but my buddy had an "accident" trying to get his off to take a leak. Turned his drysuit into a "wet" suit. Now we all wear the little "leakstoppers", not the full-on diapers, under our drysuits.
