The horses are treated so well that nobody is scared so they are relaxed and happy. Foals pick up on that and stay calm and happy. Shy but not scared. Respect them and they respect you.

Wow, I think Risey calmed down a Lot after gelding!! He is such an energetic beauty in this video!

Something about seeing Risey gallop / canter around is very refreshing. I do not think he's in pain, other than accidently hitting himself with his hooves. There's no doubt he deserves to live still.

He hasn’t fallen! He is better when he has warmed up! Read in U Kentucky journal that gelding is helpful- or rather that being s stallion is part of the problem, they are not sure why yet. He is happy and smart and should be let out in his big pasture with Spidey! When they are both geldings! Takes a couple months.

Risey has learned to compensate for his body's short comings due to wobblers. He may kick himself from time to time but it is wonderful that he has figured out what he needs to do in order to run around. You can see his movements are off but he has adjusted what he can control to remain stable. This is a very good sign. Makes me happy to see. Watched my doberman do the same over 20 years ago. Risey will be OK, not other horse normal but Risey OK and happy.

Yes, I had two dogs that were tripods and they both adapted very well. One, my greyhound, I was sad because I thought he would never run again. He fooled me and ran just as good as ever. My next dog lost a hind leg and I thought his life would be shorter because of bone degeneration in his hip. He lived a full life and finally developed arthritis late in life. 😊

I just wanted you to know that we had an Arabian mare that had wobblers and she lived to 25. She wasn't very ridable, but she was fun to have around. I hope Risey gets better.

Even though Riseys trott canter doesn‘t look normal, I think it still looks way better then back when you first got him back home to Stal Horjus last year. Back then he seemed afraid to trott/canter, not trusting his legs. Now he seems more confident again. I would take this as a good sign :)

This was another truly special moment between Risey and Yvonne: you are his most trusted human!!! Is there any greater honor?!!! ❤️💙❤️💙💫

I think that moment with Risey proves that you have made the right choice in waiting and giving him some more time before taking any final descicions. A young stallion who is scared or in pain would not act like that around a human sitting down near him. I hope that him becoming a gelding will further improve his quality of life by making him calmer and less on edge around the other horses!

According to U of Kentucky study they it should, they don’t know why yet, that this hormone change is a problem.

That Risey is not lacking in quality of life, he’s embracing life, he’s a very very happy boy and with your knowledge & commitment he will continue to be a happy boy & while he’s happy like this then who cares if he’s never a riding horse as long as he’s happy 😊 🐎

It is good to see Risey running around playing, flagged tail so he is happy. His gait might be a bit off but he is confident and that is good. Risey is so different to when you first brought him to Stal H, he wouldn't run far, only a couple of steps frightened because he was so unsure and scared he would fall. Yvonne you have done and are doing the very best for him and it is showing with him running around confident.

I remember the video with him falling asleep with his head on your legs. He didn't want to move away, and your legs started going numb, as I recall. It was a precious moment you will always remember with fondness.

Risey appeared to have a great day in the outside arena. He was truely happy.

Safer for all to have Risey gelded. He will still be his beautiful self. ❤ Great to see him enjoying his life !!😊

Due to his excitment his hormones! U of Kentucky study indicates gelding will help! Takes a couple months to rid of the extra hormones. Notice she says it is rare now? He lives with mares!

I well remember when Risey slept with his head in your lap. He was the sweetest, most loving foal. And he's still so sweet, especially with you, his mem. It's lovely to see him so happy with his tail flagging high.

I'm happy you had that moment with Risey. I remember that time when you sat with him when he was young.

They're all so beautiful. But I really enjoy watching Risey run and be so happy snorting and flagging his tail 😊

Wow, Risey surprised the heck out of me today! Watching the video, I was amazed to see him cantering again and again around the rink. His tail was flagged, he made corners in a canter. Throwing his head, neighing, cantering again and again. I was amazed!

Risey is so magnificent when he gallops around the arena. It's like nothing is wrong. Hopefully, after he's gelded, he'll calm a little bit. His 3rd birthday is coming soon. Take care, Yvonne, sending lots of love and prayers for Rising Star and you❤️🐈🐈‍⬛🐶🐎🐴🏇❤️ They make leg pads you could put on Risey that would protect his legs. Maybe we should take donations for them.

Agree that bell boots & tendon sleeves would help prevent Risey injuring lower legs. BUT understand he is skittish about legs being touched. Perhaps slow desensitization training within limitations/safety of both Yvonne & Risey. He looks great. Lovely video & content. Special moments!

Risey as a foal was before your accident. Those memories and other things are still in there - brain heals itself to a great degree - maybe you'll recover further as time passes! Fingers crossed 🤞

Well don't concentrate on a little negative, as there is so much positive things that I see.. I am not a Veterinarian but I am a people nurse and positive is much better than negative...❤

Risey is learning to adjust to his wobblers he might not be perfect , no horse is but he's happy being a horse , thank you for not giving up on him

I don’t feel sorry for a Gelding, most of them live a happy and social life mostly in mixed Herds, compare to 95% of the Stallions for Breeding and Riding that spend their Days alone the castration is much better…Risey seems to have lots of fun…😂❤ Maybe training him to wear protective Boots for his front legs will help if he feels the need for moving around…

I find it heartbreaking to see Risey so happy, and yet to watch how hard it is for him to run. And the price was he hurt himself. It is also sad to me how he cannot be outside with other horses. Yet he seems quite content at the moment. He clearly loves Yvonne and is very attached to her.

I’m not experienced with horses so please correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems like maybe Risey is slowly starting to understand his limits. He seems to be adapting in his own way and hurting himself less, and it looks like he’s getting more comfortable coming to quick stops, maybe he’s possibly figuring out his body and learning to position himself in a way that makes him feel more secure? That’s just how it looked to me. I hope I’m right because that would be so great!! But again I could just be seeing things since I’m just a viewer 😊😊❤

Well, Rising Star, jk 🐴 ⭐️ is definitely doing a whole lot better now with all of his walking and trotting and cantering and his galloping too sure his hind legs aren't as how they used to be due to wobbler syndrome but he's still oh so very active and healthy and very happy if his high flagged raised up tail is anything to go by though that is of course. I hope your friends hand heals Yvonne. A broken hand isn't nice to have. And seeing the ponies jumping around on and off of the hurdle jumps was fun to watch. 😊

Happy to see him resting, lying down. I was afraid he couldn't get up. And I'm extra happy to hear that he has an appointment to be gelded. It will reduce anxiety/aggression, weight and will help him deal with his other issues.

I love when Risey lays with Yvonne. It made me tear up. He is so sweet. Like when he was little.

I agree! Loved how he turned and looked at her when she kept asking for more running. He does better when he is warmed up! He is not falling and can roll! And get up quickly. So happy he is gelded as U of Kentucky stuffy indicated it would help him!! ❤

Risey is absolutely beautiful, even with wobbler. I love how he still trusts Yvonne, what sweet moments. I remember well the video of him sleeping on her lap, I’ve watched it many times. I’m interested to see how being gelded may help him to be calmer, and maybe keep him from hurting himself. ❤

He's not hitting the fence when he runs up, though he gallops like a meatball. He has okay front end control, but that back end is going to go out from beneath him one day

I think he is doing well as he is bred to be extra athletic. It helps. Heard that gelding will help from U of Kentucky study. Actually that the hormones are part of the problem and are still working out why. It takes time- as it dors for yvonne to get better and compensate. So happy Yvonne❤ is going to geld him.

I only see Risey and no other, being so relaxed with Yvonne, that he doesn't get up when she is there! This is so special, it reminds me of that video when he was a foal and was so content to just lay his head on her! So sweet! We love Risey! ❤️

Riseys gaits look better, he leans into his turns and downshifts without stumbling.

I used to lay right up against my gelding's belly when he was lying down in the barn or sun bathing. He was unusual in the amount of time he spent lying around for a young horse. I would lay against him and read, sometimes for hours. He on his own developed his sign to let me know he wanted to stand. He never once stood up suddenly. He was very special to me, and I to him I believe.

Risey keeps everyone on eggshels. He does look better than when he was diagnosed. I wonder if he could be started on some light groundwork? He may enjoy this.

Neurological disorders can be decieving one day it appears all is good then another day feels like deep slide backwards. Just love the boy and give him best life possible. You and Bauke alone make decisions for your pets. you live it 24 hours a day. you grieve it also Neuro is a tricky trickster love is the best medicine. Much strength to you and your fam.❤❤

The end section of this video was a real gift. Seeing Big Boss Rein with horses he was responsible for creating, and the women who are, so obviously are important to him, is very wonderful. I'm sorry Rising Star has hurt himself playing in the ring. Coralle is looking very fine.

To me, Rising Star appeared to be a normal horse running around. If he nicked his front hoof, I wonder how he did it? It was good that Yvonne had the camera pointed at his back end because you could see the way his hind legs were moving. So, I don't know how he nicked his hoof. Did he bang into the fence? He seemed to run into it when he stopped a couple of times.

He over-reached when he was galloping, meaning his left hind foot struck the heel of his front foot on the same side. I think i actually heard it on the video.
