As a former Whataburger employee, I recommend next time you get the same Honey Butter Chicken biscuit but with bacon added. It gives that salty and sweet combination if that is something you want to try. It was one of my favorite things at Whataburger to get. Also, for the Honey Barbeque Chicken Sandwich try it with the Jalapeno Ranch next time for some heat and a lot of good flavor. You can also change the bread on any of the sandwiches from what they normally are so you could get a regular burger on toast like the patty melt or whatever other sandwich you like. I'm glad you guys tried Whataburger though its a must have if you visit Texas.

I think it's the first time I've ever seen Josh and Ollie come back to a food place for anything lol
Also I fully recommend trying Bojangles next time you're in the Southeast!
Texas is called "The Lone Star State" because there was a short period after Texas declared it's independence from Mexico and before they became a state in the U.S., they were an independent country named The Lone Star Republic. 🙂
Olly's comedic timing is too damn good even when the joke is cheesy.

Eh... you mean Tex-Mex. A lot of Mexicans get insulted when you call Tex Mex "Mexican food", lol. We definitely do Tex Mex really well. Definitely glad to see Whataburger getting it's due respect. We have In-N-Out as well, and people actually go around saying In-N-Out is better... 😐 Whataburger is also open 24 hours, though unfortunately post-Covid they close their dining rooms after 10PM, and their drive through speeds are famously HORRENDOUS. Prepare to wait 30 minutes if you have 2 cars ahead of you.

@@nahor88 Definitely correct in the Tex-Mex, so apologies to any native Mexicans! I love our Tex-Mex 😋 And spot on with the wait times at Whataburger looool. I’ve spent way too long in those lines at 3AM. I completely know I’m committing to a sit down restaurant dinner time when driving up, but it’s always worth it in the end. Also, shout out to Whataburger for their 24/7/365 service, because my parents always went on a long vacation without me (when I was in college/couldn’t take off work) during Thanksgiving, so my Thanksgiving meal was thanks to them keeping it open. Probably should have just learned to cook, but who has the time for that 😂

“What an order” “what a table” hahah Ollie never ceases to amaze
Spicy ketchup can be bought at heb which is a common texas grocery store chain. You can also try hidden valley ranch dressing which is the most popular type of salad dressing in the south. Chick fil a sauce is also available at heb and chick fil a sells another sauce called polynesian sauce.
So many reviewers go to famous Texas/Austin establishments and just get the whole experience wrong, I was ready to be disappointed by more unguided novice touristy mistakes but you guys literally nailed every location and got a very well rounded authentic Central Texas food experience. Bravo to whoever guided you or to you for doing your research properly, very well done! That is so true. Some of the best spots are those the TB shows on Food Network never visit (thankfully). Man, I miss the green chili chicken enchiladas at Chuy's on Lamar. I miss a lot of places since I've moved away, but I cam still get Shiner Bock where I live now.

You could bring them to the American Southwest and give them a cowboy experience, more than just a food tour!
They sell the sauces and condiments at the grocery store H.E.B. here in Texas.
They were here a LONG, LONG IN MEMPHIS, TN AND NOW IN MISSISSIPPI TOO! My 17 year old granddaughter actually has her 18 yr old Brit boyfriend visiting here until September! He is having so much fun so far until he goes back to university.
Little trick that a lot of Texans know - if you want a honey butter biscuit but it's not the right time for them, get the BBQ chicken strip sandwich and swap the sauce out for honey butter! It's not quite the same, but it still has the basics. Loved the video, I was hoping to see y'all make your way into the greatest state ever for some Whatab!
