Must tell you that I am a senior citizen & remember as a young girl the excitement of going to the FIRST Jack in the Box restaurants. The "box" was because drive-throughs were a new thing, & you talked to, well, a box, to order food. Whole weird character of "Jack" came along decades later. Blessings, you adorable Brits.

The very first Jack in the Box had a clown on the roof and also on the Box you talked to for ordering. It was the first use of two way talking for orders. So they were always a Jack in the Box

I think it was a $5 Cover, all Well and Draft free. Please tip the Waitresses and Bartenders. Great times, 1978-1980. Funky Town!

They should make a series called 'JOLLY ON HOLLY' (Holiday) where Josh and Ollie travels around the world, eating foreign food, meeting wonderful people and experience different cultures and traditions. Yeah, I would definitely watch that series.

I like Jack in the Box, they don't shy away from the fact that they are just fast food like other places do. They embrace it, and give people the glutton they desire.

I find it hilarious the things Josh and Ollie are surprised by. I guess it never occurred to me that fast food outside of the US didn't do things like put cheesecake in a box or use round bread. They need to go to Wendy's where the burger and the cheese are the same size and shape lol

Back in the olden days, Jack in the Box was just another fast food place competing with McDonalds and Burger King. Then they became one of the first to experiment with premium sandwiches, which kind of became their specialty, but they kept most of their old menu items, so they have a mix of cheap and expensive. Eventually, other fast food places tried the same strategy.

I love how the whole video Ollie is wearing his seatbelt. You gotta be safe even when you're parked in a fast food parking lot .

When I was in elementary school in Houston, fast food was a special treat. Of course that was in the 70's. * None food related, I remember when Pampers came out (71'), convenient when out but not used at home. I knew how to change my nephew with cloth diapers and safety pins, I was 8 or 9 🤣

Jack is actually some of the best bad food out there. Made to be eaten primarily when you are drunk. They are open later, and serve the whole menus all day. Miles better then McDonald's

i don't have a jack in the box near where i live so i didn't know any of that. however i have eaten jack in the box as my first meal after getting off the plane the last 4 times i've traveled and it's starting to become a tradition for me to try to find one every time now lol.

Ducky seems like that person thats been living since the dawn of time. Thats been changing his identity and when you go to his house you'll see generations of him in picture frame😂

That’s why the best time to go to Jack in the Box is late at night. They definitely cater to the late night crowd. After a night out with the gang, the food tastes incredible.

I’m catching up on your past videos. We haven’t had a Jack in the box around my area for years. But, when I was pregnant with my daughter. I craved their grease dripping tacos. I had to have them every night, even if I just ate dinner. Thanks for bringing back memories for me. I enjoy watching this program. You two are so funny and adorable.

I don’t eat fast food anymore, but when I did have Jacks, those dang tacos and the bacon potato wedges were my go to. The fact that Josh and Ollie actually enjoyed some of it, really surprised me. That cheesecake made me feel fancy for odd reasons I can explain. It’s all definitely a guilty pleasure.

Yeah haven't had fast food besides the occasional chipotle, pizza, and wings. I just went to taco bell for the first time in like 3 years for that Mexican pizza and it took me back to my middle school days. I think it was more for the nostalgic feeling rather then actual taste. Bowel movements post bell was still spectacular.

I grew up in Wisconsin so I didn’t have Jack in the box until I was 20 and married and visiting my wife’s family out West. The first time I went to Jack I was blown away by the huge variety of food. I literally ordered 30 dollars worth of different items to try. My favorite to this day is still the New York style cheesecake!

I currently work at a Jack in the Box in California. Fun fact the tacos come in frozen with the meat mixture already in it, its like chicken and pork i think maybe beef. Then we toss them in the fryer in a special taco holder for a minute. Where I work all the fryers absolutely hate making tacos because people order a LOT, once i had to make 34 for one order.

You guys missed out on some things Jack in the Box does so sinfully well: Buttery Jack Burgers, Jack's Spicy Chicken, and their late night Munchies meals - one of the burgers has a grilled cheese stacked on top of it!

Those 99 cent tacos came in clutch when I was a kid. I still love them and crave them all the time.

Burger King is by far the creepiest. Jack-in-the-Box blew Jack up in a commercial at one point and then brought him back at a later date. It was actually a pretty big thing when they decided to bring him back, and he's been considered the "cool" fast food mascot. When cars had antennas, it was considered the coolest of cool to have a Jack head on your antenna.

And if you eat inside, REFILL TIME, of course that's if you really need one, when I go in for a couple of TACOS I'll always order a small soft drink, just a tad over 2 bucks and you're happening.

I love seeing JOLLY try American food, especially from real restaurants (like in the Boba episode), being an American myself, but I wish some people in the comments would realize that American food is more than just junky fast food. Like yes, we have a LOT of fast food, but we also have a lot of real food, and really great restaurants (and a lot of us rarely even eat fast food, most of the people I know cook from home). This is a bit of a rant sorry, but for anyone who has never been to the US, we actually have good food here LOL

I left fast food a decade ago. In America, There is a food trend gearing toward healthier, organic, and clean ingredient fast food chains and restaurants. Many even cater to gluten free, dairy free, vegan and keto dieters.

Jack In the Box tacos were/are my addiction too! The first bite just makes your eyes roll into the back of your head and it gets better with every bite, then it's over, just like that. Next thing, you're unwrapping the second one and it starts all over again. 🌮❤

Fun fact : last year or maybe the year before they announced that they would remove the Sourdough Jack. There was a lot of backlash and it's since remained on the menu. That's the "burger" I eat whenever we decide on going , which isn't often .

They did remove the sourdough grilled chicken club though, which I will never stop being disappointed by. That and the sourdough jack were my go-tos. They replaced it with another sourdough chicken sandwich, but imo it's much worse.

They should have substituted tiny tacos and sourdough for egg rolls and jalapeño poppers! Love Jack in the box!

I love how Josh and Ollie have perfected the art of hiding their reaction whilst they wait for the other person to react.

I'm surprised that they didn't try the eggrolls, those and the tacos were always a treat after a night of drinking in college, lol.

If I could only go to one fast food restaurant the rest of my life it would be Jack In The Box for the sheer variety of options they offer, and the fact that the full menu is available if the store is open, so I can order lunch at breakfast or visa versa. Plus they’re always trying something different.

As someone who works at Jack In The Box, this is 100x funnier to watch.

I’ve been there (and will be soon again) and I can say that it IS good, however, after a while you start to miss the food from your country. It’s decent tho if you know where to get your food! (Literally any restaurant in China Town in San Francisco is fantastic - strongly recommend)

Personally, I think american fast food is the worst. I have this thing, for example, where every country I go to I try the KFC and McDonald's, and the US Big Mac was the worst. Also, US KFC is by far and away the worst KFC ever. The best KFC is NZ, and the best McDonald's is Australia. Its our beef that makes Maccas in Australia the world's best.

I'll tell you right now that you're not missing much by not having Chipotle or KFC. Taco trucks are better, and Popeyes is the best fried chicken in America.

When you guys got back in to the white interior of the car all I could think was "Hope they don't spill anything". And then Josh held the drink up by the top and I just had flashback to the times I've done that and the whole drink fell.

when we were kids, you couldn’t get curly fries anywhere except for Jack In The Box. Still my favorite fries to this day

OMG!! In the mid 90's JIB got busted because they sourced meat for their tacos from Australia 🇦🇺 and it contained horse 🐴 meat 🥩. Tacos were 3 for $.99!!! All was very soon forgiven.

In Wisconsin, there is a place called Taco John’s, they serve tater tots with the tacos.

Jack in the Box knows exactly who it's catering to when they have something called the Munchie Meals that you can only get from 9pm to 5am. The meals there could have only been crafted in the mind of a stoner working at corporate.

They used to sell it for $6 at that time but it went back to the regular $8 price. The chicken-n-tater is the best one.

Just like any fast-food restaurant, you won't get the same consistency. That said, it depends on the crew, the day of time, and what you're ordering. The Sourdough Jack and tacos are always a solid order for me. You HAVE to try the tacos with ranch; kicks it up a notch.

The ultimate cheeseburger was my go to in highschool & I still enjoy them as a guilty pleasure whenever I'm in my hometown.

When I was 18 in New York, on my way home from the bar at 4 AM, there was nothing better than Jack's tacos.

The most underrated item at Jacks is the egg roll with sweet and sour sauce. It sounds crazy but it’s one of the best egg rolls you’ll ever find at any fast food spot. A lot of locals don’t even know about it.

Hillarious, guys keep in mind Jack In The Box tacos are one of the prefered after the club drunk foods, back in my honky tonk days a dozen tacos in the car along with hot sauce were the prefered drive thru food. Since your in LA I do honestly hope you manage to make it to Pink's for chili dogs, actually more types of hot dogs than you've seen in one place I'm sure. Just go in off hours and to the OG on highland for the true experience, hell you might even get to do some celebrity spotting. But that may have changed since all the "stars" are on the eat healthy band wagon, but back in the day limo's pulling up with some of the who's who in Hollywood was not uncommon.

My parents talked about getting the Breakfast Jack back in the 70s/80s…never understood the hype about bacon, eggs and cheese on a hamburger bun until I tried one. 🤤 I’m getting one for breakfast tomorrow.

We don't have Jack In The Box here in Florida, but I remember them from when we lived in Phoenix, AZ. Someone stole the statue (or whatever it's called) just before we moved from there.

Soooo, growing up on the East Coast, we didn’t have Jack in the Box. When I relocated to Texas in my late 20’s, I used to make fun of them and was mildly grossed out by their menu-a menagerie of too many things from tacos to breakfast to white rice🤷🏼‍♀️….BUT, I finally tried them last year, 12 years later after my first time seeing one and it was SO good….I’ve found that it really depends on the specific location. Their food, much like any fast food, can be pretty gross if the fryer needs cleaning for example. Personally, I love their chicken tenders and egg rolls.

I thought I was the only one who had to have ranch with my Jack tacos 🌮 it’s so goood for the price!

Jack in the Box here is 24 hr and it rises up the fast food rankings the later it gets into the night. My favorite is a Jumbo Jack, egg role, and xtra large Dr. Pepper.

Like I honestly hope you guys make all the big money from your sponsorships because y’all’s adds are the only ones I always watch 😂😂😂

I'm no longer near a Jack in the Box, I miss this chain. Those tacos are to die for. Jack in the Box was our stoner's refuge back in the day. lol

Next time you go, ask for Jack's Secret Sauce, back in the 80's it used to come on the burgers, you have to ask for it now. It's delicious and reminds me of my childhood

Around 1982, Jack in the Box disappeared from SE. Pennsylvania and Jersey. The menu was simpler back then, but I still miss it.

I don’t know if anyone else mentioned this yet, but their Chicken Teriyaki bowls ( with egg roll, MUST get the egg roll) are amazing and not unhealthy…well, except for the egg roll

Jack-In-The Box tacos are the best thing on the menu. They’re so bizarre but it works!

Jack in the Box is one of my two go-to fast food places. First being In-N-Out. 😅 the milkshakes (strawberry for me), cheese burger, and curly fries are the best 👌
