Brits Abandoning London: You Won't Believe Where They're Heading Next!
In this thought-provoking video, I'll take you on a journey through the once-thriving metropolis of London and uncover the reasons behind its decline. The high cost of living, coupled with political turmoil and uncertainty, has taken its toll on the city, making it difficult for residents to afford housing and live comfortably. Despite these challenges, London is still a city of history, art, and beauty, and I'll show you the hidden gems that make it so special.
I'll also delve into the impacts of these challenges on the city's residents and businesses. The sky-high hotel prices and fast-paced food scene. Join me as I explore the real side of London and what makes it such a unique and special place, despite its decline. Get ready to be informed and inspired by the heart and soul of this iconic city.

I'm a Brit who used to live in London (now Valencia). I can't say I miss London...You captured the reality of the city perfectly. Whilst it has a plethora of diverse and exciting restaurants the weather, cost of living and crowdiness certainly don't make up for it. I'm much happier in Valencia

London working class lives miserably in shared houses and struggle to have any savings at the end of the month. London is only for the very rich people to live in comfortably. It used to be a city where you work some time to save some cash and go back to the country where you were born, but I am not sure if these is true these days because if you take out the rent an transport, you may be better off not working here at all.

Very well documented video thanx ! You’re gorgeous! And wow were neighbours I live in Gibraltar!
Londoners aren't enjoying their state enforced "enrichment."
My husband and I were in England for a short visit to a lovely place called the Lake District. We stayed in Kesik where familia once lived. That was a far cry from what you showed in the video about London. . We would not want to live in London, but would love to visit at least once in our lives. My son in law is a UK citizen and loves the rain and cloudy weather. As for us we like snow better than rain and lots of sunny weather. Valencia and Spain and Bergen, Norway are more our style of living.
I live in London right now, but I know that I can never afford to live in the capital without living with my parents, and I think one reason why London is in the way it is is the centralisation of the UK economy. If you ever want to have a well-paying job, your options in the UK is just London and that's it, which ends up making it so expensive as all the professionals are seeking the same limited housing supply. I know that I'll either have to move to another part of the country, or to another country entirely, and that I'm lucky that the field I'm studying for (teaching) allows me to do that. But I've recognised years ago that London will be an absolute impossibility for me.
Top of the morning to ya! Where are you running to? Did you lose your phone? 😉 Wow! What an interesting city to visit. Great video.
I visited London at the end of March and early April 2000. That is a GREAT time to see the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. It's cold and rainy. You will have the whole plaza, almost, to yourself!
I don't know why, but I cannot stop watching these videos from you 😬

So I'm told places on the outskirts were cheap but they are increasingly expensive my brother in law said he can't how his children will ever be able to afford to buy a homes in London and he's lived there all his life. I have to get the train to East London for work but I prefer where I live although it takes around an hour and twenty minutes. The trouble in some countries is the employment laws do not give employers an incentive to offer permanent job vacancies.

London is just amazing. So much diveristy in food, experiences. Weather is honestly fine, people exagerrate the rain and all that, just go take a look at actual rain fall figures, there are far worse cities in Europe even! Every city has pros and cons. Gap between rich and poor is growing every where, its not a UK problem, its a global one.
What motivates such a one sided, mean spirited video. Her ignorance is evident. London has the same problems as other cities of comparable size Valencia Has 10% the population of London so there is no comparison. I am sure it a lovely place Since the millennium London has been a city in renaissance with billions spent on infrastructure and property developments Admittedly, the cost of housing is a real issue but the same i Paris, New York etc I hope she enjoys her life in Spain..I am sure we will survive her without her, she is welcome back, it doesn’t always rain
Beautiful video, like your creations. ;)
London's subway & trains make the ones in NYC look like something out of Calcutta, etc. Europeans over 100 yrs ago, some for economic & political reasons, started immigrating to the New World (ie, North America, etc). Now the US is increasingly (& regrettably) more Emerging/Third World than First World. It's showing the fault lines of various marginal nations (& cities) throughout the globe. But even over 50 yrs ago, an American city like NYC was full of graffiti, slums (Bronx) & corruption. So some trends (both good & bad) are built-in.

@@charlesunderwood6334 so sweet that you have convinced yourself of nice sounding falsehoods. London is not built on thousands of years of immigration. let's talk facts. 100 years ago, what percentage of London was white British? If you think London has a "strong community feel" then you really need to live in a small town in France, and compare the two.
