When you come across a group of soldiers, you don't ask "are there any of you from Texas?"....you say..."How many of you ARE from TEXAS?"....there's always a handful of us no matter where you are!! We're always there for our country....and we're Texans....we'll always oblige if you're looking for a fight!

Also, Joe Louis held the belt for 10 years and fought all comers. He was a fighting champion who to this day is considered one of the best "textbook" boxers of all time. He's one of the greats that all boxing students are told to study, up there with Ali, Tyson, Foreman, Pep, Robinson, and Moore.

One note about the Golden Gloves. Winners of national tournaments end up on the fast track to the US Olympic Boxing team as do those who give good showings. Winning the Golden Gloves is about as badass as it gets short of the Olympics or having a pro title belt and the men and women who win that distinction are people with which you do not fuck.

The movie Fury was a mix between Pole’s story and Audie Murphy’s stand against the Germans. My guess is that they couldn’t didn’t want to make a 100% accurate portrayal of Poole so it wouldn’t make sense to use the original name.

Guy would feel bad telling the reloaders parents he died. Only for the new guy to instantly be taken out, multiple injuries for other guys, and probably a dominoe effect effecting dozens of people. Great job deciding not wanting to report information. Was an Idiot.

Ah yes, let me look hours or days into the future to know that the front line would fail to spot a tank and the mid line would fail too for it to reach the back line to attack in the mood. You are literally looking at it in hindsight. He had absolutely no way of knowing that in the mood would end up in a situation like that while in the rear detachment of his unit.

Lol, yeah, I was going to comment on the difference, too. Growing up in Colorado, our hedges were really only about waist/ chest high and perfectly sculpted, flat on top all the way across and trimmed exactly the same on all sides, lol. So hedgerows would definitely be unfamiliar to me.... though I imagine they make the landscape look outstanding in the UK 🤘!! I will say it's the one thing I can count on every time we PCS... every house we get on post always has hedges, so it feels a little like home right away. Which when you're moving every few years, as you probably know, anything that feels familiar in a new place is always good... even if it's just hedges lol 😎.

Well to be fair today the Asst Sec of Health and Human Services is a man who thinks he’s a woman and wears a female’s admiral uniform. And Command uses part of BCT to teach recruits that if a man calls himself a woman you need to accept it. WTF does ANY of this have to do with combat readiness or combat training….other than to undermine it. Before you come at me bitchin im anti military, I was in the USAF. When we recognized that men and women are different and cannot become the opposite sex by dress. And that MF are the only sexes, there aren’t 400 genders and the job of the USAF is air combat and logistics to help secure our military objectives rapidly and deprive the enemy of nice things, the willingness to fight and if necessary to unalive them rapidly and copiously. We’ve become our own worst enemy.
