The flavors are similar between uk and us… bland… recent immigrants brought flavors to both countries…. I join you when you say it's dry in USA , I was excited to taste some sweet when I was in NY , years ago , after 5 tests around the city , I promise myself to never taste no more cakes or muffin anymore lol , it's a shame cause they all look supertasty and pretty but they taste just like ciment to me XD

Fine rarely but my body enjoys lemon and herb and "bland" foods which idk maybe were more super tasters than the people who have spoiled their sensitivites to the point that they need spice and such resistance is in their dna. But whatever i can live off dairy so being anglosaxon/celtic/nordic has its upsides that many f the spice eating people cant handle 😂

As a New Orleans native, it warms my heart seeing people enjoy our Creole and Cajun foods. The current Popeyes biscuits are so dry, you can use one to dry a puddle of water. Now, if they tried the old school fluffy and buttery Popeyes biscuits up until the 90's, they would have definitely been asking for more.

Which is wild to me, because nothing on the Popeeyes menu is spicy to me at all. In fact, there was nothing really within the fast food realm that was labeled "spicy" that ever really was spicy. Even when all the ghost pepper and other spicy chili pepper craze was popular, and fast food joints were incorporating them into their food, those items weren't even that spicy as well. The fact that people exist around the world that really just don't do any spices at all is just wild to me.

@@pockyeatingpanda I don't know if they say the same in the UK, but gherkins in the US, at least among gardeners and picklers, are a specific variety of small cucumber that are usually used for pickling. I buy gherkin cucumbers from the Amish farms every year to pickle.

That boy that was about to cry from the spice of the regular chicken almost broke my heart. That poor kid probably hasn't ever had a well seasoned meal in his life. My British granny has a bland pallette just like that too but we're breaking her a little bit at a time with each meal since we do the cooking now.
