Amm, sushi is raw fish though but the raw shrimp is kinda famous in Asia I mean like you can see them pretty often compare to in America and UK.

As a spanish I never understood why so many people are not into octopus and squid 😅 in Spain is really common, especially in our paella from valencia

Perhaps because not many chefs can cook it properly.... Because octopus or squids can be tough and rubbery texture if it's overcooked.....

Josh sometimes only says the name in Korean but the name of the sea creatures they're eating IS ALSO written in English. It's in the upper right corner of the video. :-) Cheers from Denmark. Love your videos.

guys I swearrr octopus and squid is too good😭😭 this is coming from a picky eater as well! texture wise I hesitate since I’m picky with anything that looks gooey (especially seafood) so to ease yourselves if you’re curious to try, having it fried is not a bad idea!

I love octopus - not much flavour at all but I enjoy the chewy yet soft texture. It's similar to squid! :) If overcooked it can get tough, so better to cook it just right.

For me octopus has to fried before i can eat it i rather the crispy texture that the chewy, rubbery taste you get when it is steamed or boiled

Octopus is good I prefer it grilled or at least served hot. My ex was italian and they would do a 7 fishes Christmas dinner and octopus salad was one of the dishes. My only gripe with it was that it was served cold. Stuffed squid was probably my favorite thing during those Christmas dinners. In Korea as well as the raw shrimp they'll serve many other seafood's raw. One of the most common is some spicy raw crab, I don't remember the name of it but it's very popular and delicious apparently.

Octopus and squid are delicious when cooked properly, the texture should be tender not rubbery. You can definitely find raw shrimp (sashimi) in more authentic/western adventurous Japanese restaurants, I've tried raw shrimp once and the texture was a little difficult for me if I'm honest.

I’d do both raw shrimp and octopus. In fact I’ve had both and when I was in Korea, I’ve had live raw octopus where the legs and suckers still stick to your mouth and throat when you eat it. It’s delicious

Raw Shrimp and Raw crabs are marinade with sauce for 3~4 days. You have to use fresh crabs and shrimps.

honestly as an Arab we do LOVE all kinds of seafood and personally I LOVE octopus, because it doesn't taste how it looks (tastes like lemon with the tiniest hint of fish). I remember the first time I tried it when I was 5 years old in a buffet with my dad at first I was disgusted by how it looked and how I REFUSED to try it and my dad being a sneaky parent he would make me little rice balls and with octopus (with the head and everything) and feed them to me, I didn't realize the rice balls had octopus in them cause it genuinely tasted like a lemony rice ball. after finishing my food my dad told me that I did try the octopus but I didn't get upset or anything because I really enjoyed it. Now I'm 20 and whenever we go out to a seafood restaurant I just HAVE TO GET an octopus dish.
