Thanks for the great reaction, it's nice watching someone who gets it reacting to Nightwish. Not to worry, emotions are always in play when Tuomas and Floor do their thing. You don't sound the least bit crazy....I found this song to be epic, thought provoking and in a way made me consider life itself, most people take life for granted.....this song, this masterpiece makes one ponder the big picture. Another masterpiece by Nightwish, indeed! Feels like they wrote this song not only for the current fans but also for the future generations. IMO this song also reminds me a lot of their other songs like Amaranth and Élan--which are my favorites.

This Masterpiece is without any doubt the best song of the year - at least till the next Nightwish Video is about to come. No way anyone could think different who has a heart and some musicality in the soul. Germany here shivering.....

But for people that only know the big four, and a couple heavy and groove metal bands, Nightwish might blow your mind.

Tuomas is a genius, and that seems an inadequate word.

Great reaction! We know Nightwish, their mastery in anything they do; appreciate your understanding of the meaning of Floor’s vocals “blending in”👏 Nightwish does everything with a purpose! We love Nightwish like no other! So we should NOT BE SURPRISED, but I for one was absolutely floored, mind blown into millions of pieces 🤯, again! The song is indescribable and came at the right time for me. I love your words at the end. You're speaking from my heart. ❤ My grandmother died in May at the age of 93. The funeral was last week. Then I realized exactly what Nightwish express in their song. During the Second World War, my grandmother and her family had to flee Silesia (today's Poland) and came to Germany. I never really listened to her stories, never really thought about who came before me... which I now deeply regret. Nevertheless, her energy will live on, her legacy in us. That's exactly the reason why my fantasy novel deals with this topic. Who are we actually? Where do we come from? Where lies the true magic of life? We are the universe! A lot more people need to be aware of this and that's why I love Nightwish so much for their music! Speaking of touching music. Yesterwynde is the opening track on new album, i belive its only like a intro, its a little over 2 min long, #2 on album then is a almost 10 min song, thats proberly another epic!! #3 is where i think they bring in a heavy track, and this Perfume of the timeless is #5.. so i think its gonna be a good mix of heavy songs, Epics, and maybe a full balled.. Perfume of the timeless, well its almonst a ghost energy song right, telling all these ancestors is perfume around in a timeless world, being around you still, also a message that your existens matters!! i feel tuomas also put in a little message that mankind could do better still, Einstein turn to ape.. I listened to this song maybe 50 times by now, and it is one i like to listen to with my headphones or without, its really a good song, when i can do so to me. Some say Floors voice is low in the mix, and i can agree its hard to get all words she sing, but if you look at it soundwise it sounds amazing!! and after a listen or 2, you know most of lyrics, and its no problem at all, its done fully on purpose for the sound experince of it.. cant wait for rest of album!! I'm going to love this album. I've been fascinated by the Antikythera Mechanism since I first read about it years ago.

As always , Nightwish are overwhelming - they plug you into a different consciousness that simply makes you realise there is no mundane, its all utterly incredible. Ive seen some people knit picking at details of this song, you know, 'its not heavy enough', not riffy enough, Floor is too low in the mix - way to miss the point, of another Nightwish masterpiece - just immerse yourself in it and let it change you 🤘

I originally watched you with your reactions to Nightwish & more recently Taylor Swift. They seem like completely different genres but the common link is that Tuomas & Taylor both are Storytellers, they write with emotion & passion. Tuomas feels deeply for nature & how mankind blends into the universe. Taylor experiences the world & its emotions deeply. I think Taylor would appreciate the entire Nightwish catalogue. Nightwish are talented musicians & Floor Jansen has vocal talents that extend to any range she chooses to bring to life! We are the lucky ones to live in this timeline with artists that inspire us. 😊

Troy used to play with Enya’s Clannad if I’m not mistaken. I wonder if the background vocals behind his lead vocals in the end was inspired by the music he played during his stint with Clannad, because it surely has that same vibe. Simone Simons from Epica has very recently released a single called "Aeterna" from her upcoming debut solo album. It was written by Arjen Lucassen (the brains behind Ayreon), and it is sung from the point of view of a star about to go supernova and die, but knowing that in so doing it will create elements such as carbon and oxygen that may eventually become the stuff of life.

So excited to hear Nightwish back in action!! I admit I was a bit ~eh~ about their last album, but I really like this song! I'm sure the upcoming album will give you even more to react to, though I do hope some old songs will still pop up when you have the time. Slow, Love, Slow is a great Anette song, as many have mentioned, though I also love Escapist as a more upbeat tune (I still find myself singing it a cappella in the shower years later, lol). While Your Lips Are Still Red is also an *amazing* Marko song that I highly recommend!! Not sure if there are decent live videos of any of those, but I hope you'll end up listening to them eventually even if it's not on stream! :)

Did you hear the 4 notes (B minor-G minor, A minor-F minor) by the choir that are a RED thread threw the whole song, also in Floor's lines, strings and piano? 2:36 This is SO well composed and thought about. The owl's head spinning ANTI clockwise, going back in time. There are hundreds of symbols in this clip. The thousands of butterflies representing our ancestors, the beautiful lizard who dives in the water is also coming back several times, per example when Floor dives from the tree It's so tiny that you hardly notice it. The humpback wale skeleton with the diver and than the alive humpback wales and sperm wales. It all refers to our ancestors and evolution. I can't wait to hear this song live.
