This was the night before the battle you saw weeks ago. The old warrior Saurfang, one of the greatest heros of the horde, tries to retain honor for hinself. But at last he turns back to fight for the horde. He will be captuered after the following battle, but will be the one, who will end this damn war. Anduin talks with the prisoner: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fn-OmdugfLe4YMo.html Intermezzo, Saurfang meets his old friend Thrall, the former leader of the horde: kzread.info/dash/bejne/p6F1ycaPhKXHlZM.html The end: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aoKGrteOntOtico.html

"Zappy boi" was trying to tell Saurfang that the horde was all they both had; now that their family was dead. A reference back to his son Dranosh who died during the assault on Icecrown years prior and his own father that he mentioned had died just prior. Basically, Saurfang was touchy because his son's death was weighing on his mind just before they met. To have this stranger come up and bring up his son's death was hurtful to him. "You think you know me?" was justified imo. Given the circumstance; as a father myself... I think I would do the same. And this guy is an orc who has seen some crazy shit. lol

New Sub. You're fun. Nah, don't worry about taking long to examine the cinematics. For this one, a bit of background. The blue guy is Zekhan, a troll. Saurfang is the orc, he's the War Chief of the Horde right now. Sylvanas is in charge of the Horde. The burning you saw was Sylvanas setting fire to the world tree Teldressil. This is the home of the Night Elves and she was, literally, committing genocide right there. The original plan was for the Horde to actually take the tree, and the night elf capitol of Darnassas that is up in the branches. But Sylvanas had a short conversation with a dying night elf and she decided to burn the tree. THAT is what Saurfang was saying about no honor. And it's why he decided to strip off his armor and go solo fight the entire Alliance army so he could finally die. Zekhan, or Zappy Boi as he's known (he's the one in the Battle for Azeroth cinematic that throws lightning out of his fingers) is alone, no father. Saurfang has no son. So they form a relationship like that, Saurfang being his mentor. You'll see the two of them again in the Mak'Gora cinematic (no spoilers). Right now, World of Warcraft is doing a "catch up mechanic". When you log into the game, you can go through the tutorial on your first character. BUT, what you want to do after that is make a new character. In the top of the sign in page (after you log out of the game and back into it), there's a Wow Remix, Mist of Pandaria (timerunning) button. You make a new character in that part of the game. You can make it just like the other (different name) or make something else you want to try. Once done, you sign in and it's going to drop you into the Mist of Pandaria expansion. But there's a twist--you will get bronze that you can spend for armor and upgrades and MOUNTS (which is good). You will progress faster, farther, and you will get more bronze and gear. You'll get the story of Pandaria while doing it. Then, when you finish at 70, you can start another character and you can run it again and go even faster. The whole idea is to make level 70 characters with the starting gear ready to jump into the War Within expansion when it comes out the last of August. You'll get to keep the Timerunner characters you make once Timerunning is finished on August 17th. If you want to see what you might be getting into in the Pandaria area, look for the Cinematic Trailer for Mists of Pandaria. Starts out with a naval battle (so you know it's the right one). I've been playing since 2008, that's 16 years now. My adult kids got me into it because I had questions about what they were talking about during Thanksgiving dinner. My younger son bought the game for me for Christmas and I've not stopped playing since. Yes, the grandmother of 9 (all but one are high school and college and one is working) plays World of Warcraft and loves to do it. My main, on the retail game, is a little female gnome mage named Rubyrose. My second main is a human male paladin named Zandall. I'm running in Timerunning right now on a female Pandaran hunter named Akanyiama.

Nice reaction vid! You seem like a super chill dude. I really recommend watching some cinematics in order! Otherwise the confusing story will make even LESS sense. You are in for an amazing ride and I'm so looking forward to see how you will react on the other amazing cinematics from the World of Warcraft universe. The new expansion, The War Within will release later this summer, (the 10th expanion) but you should look at that cinematic. I like how you are reacting to the two cinematics you have seen so far, and I'm looking forward to more.

I'm not sure what other videos you have on your playlist, but if you plan on playing the BFA content (which is the default new player experience) some of the BFA cinematics will be spoilers as they take place during or after the BFA campaign. You should definitely watch the trio of videos with "Warbringers" in the name, though.

Zappy boi was taking off his shoulder armour because that's what Saurfang had done right before he came down to the battlefield. There was a whole "Shoulders off for Saurfang" movement in game at the time. "Brad Pitt and his wolf mate" would be a great hipster band name.

Hey - one more of these style, or a multi-cinematic one and you'll have my loyal sub for sure! ~ Would love to see you check out Warbringers series. It's a mini-cinematic series called Warbringers: Jaina, Warbringers: Azhara and Warbringers: Sylvanus. It'll give a lot of info on important characters in the cinematic you're currently watching! Thanks for the upload from a fellow UK citizen! Keep up the great work, chief!

Battle for Azeroth as an expansion got a _lot_ of flack at the time - it was released as a buggy mess, for one thing. The Alliance players felt short-changed by the overarching narrative, which some described as "World of Hordecraft guest-starring the Alliance." Horde players, meanwhile, complained about being cast once again as the villains, with the story leading into the expansion as their Warchief Sylvanas spurred the Horde in an unprovoked attack on the Night Elves' capitol, the world-tree Teldrassil, burning it and a large number of civilians who were unable to escape. (Alliance players got a rather gut-punch of a quest to save an impossible number of NPCs as the tree burned around them; one of the darkest quests I've ever played in that game, I have to say.) I will say that on a personal note I enjoyed the Alliance-oriented narrative about Jaina Proudmoore returning to her homeland of Kul Tiras in order to try to get her people to rejoin the Alliance; naturally, things don't exactly go according to plan. I found the story emotionally compelling and enjoyable as a long-time Warcraft fan. Regardless, Blizzard's cinematics team has always done an amazing job from the very beginning. Their most recent edition is the expansion announcement trailer for The War Within; it's very different from the other entries, but the quality is absolutely astounding.

It also got a lot of flack for the quite frankly *bad* game systems it added as an expansion. Not only did it continue with the AP grind without the thrill of the artifact weapon, but islands and warfronts were both failures. It's interesting that Alliance players felt that way, because beyond the Saurfang narrative that played out in the cinematics, the alliance had a much better story narrative across the campaign. Jaina's story felt like a complete narrative, and the Zandalar story felt like a bunch of unrelated bits and bobs.

@@TheSyncos I do not miss the Azerite gear, that's for sure! RNG on RNG on RNG, which was a recipe for immense frustration. I think that Saurfang's cinematics - not in-game cutscenes but full-blown glorious cinematics - engendered a certain measure of jealousy from the Alliance players. A major Horde character got three very expensive and time-consuming-to-render, lore-heavy, plot-relevant cinematics centered around him, with only minor appearances by the Alliance. Of course, I likewise heard complaints from Hordeside that they weren't exactly enjoying the spotlight, since they once _again_ had a Warchief gone For the Evulz (with Sylvanas's actions not even being explained in that expansion, no less... not that the explanation, when it _did_ come, really satisfied anyone). I wonder if the experience with Shadowlands made anyone look more fondly on BfA in retrospect.
