Because that's what happens when you're too young and irrisonsibly (and pretty stupidly) decide to have kids (or are too dumb and don't know how animals work). It's actually extremely dangerous! Having children under the age of 21 and above the age of 45 is extremely risky and can and will cause potentially dangerous (even fatal!) health problems and complications. If you ask me, Humans should either quit breeding altogether or be responsible about it. For goodness sakes, the only other animal that is still over our population numbers are insects! But I'm sure we'll eventually create much greater numbers than even them (especially since most Humans naturally have an instinct to kill (or as I prefer to say "murder") insects).

The older sister, seeing her younger sister pregnant, wanted a baby as well. That is some very bad parenting there. Both girls haven't even finished school. 🙄

I don't think it's that the grandparents are willing. but the parents don't care or think it's something they can give back and so the child is left with no food, soiled nappies and no bonding time so the grandparents feel bad for the child and do it anyway.

Cigarettes drugs and alcohol can have such horrible affects on the kids... I have worked with quite a few of those kids and it is heart breaking to know that their disability comes from their mum not being able to be healthy while pregnant... gets even worse when they have a bunch of children, all taken away after birth because all have disabilities cause of the mums lifestyle

Also, she treated them as if she was a schoolteacher and they were kids in her class. They tuned her out and resented her. And honestly, the "routine" thing is ridiculous. I would have kicked her out when I had my first baby. But then again, I was 32 :)

"I wanted to have one of my own!" - A baby is nothing that you own, it's supposed to grow up to become an independent person!!

Look, I love my nephew so much. He's the world to me and I can't imagine not having him around. I also can't imagine ever wanting kids myself. as someone who was his aunt at sixteen, I never once looked at him and thought 'I should have one of those'. I babysit him all the time now that I'm in uni and I love taking him out to the park and having fun, but the absolute INSANE leap of logic to go from liking kids as a kid and wanting to have kids while still being a kid is so wild to me

I don’t think they understand, that the second you become pregnant, you have put all your energy into planning your baby’s babyhood, and as soon as they’re born, you have to put being a good parent before everything. Before money, before husbands, wives and all that. Because how your kid turns out is on you most of the time.

Riiiiight and my parents call me horrible for having 3 water bottles in my room.....*sighs* I should show them this.

They should also make a documentary of these teens 10 years down the line, challenges they faced, how they overcame them, how many have managed to finish school - university and are juggling professional aspirations along with parenting duties. Are there any lessons learnt, if they had to do anything differently, how would they do it, how are they raising their tweens differently?
