His last song is more somber. He wrote it for Clint Eastwood. It is called "Dont let the old man in". When asked how he could keep directing movies in his 90s. Clint told Toby "Just dont let the old man in." So Toby wrote the song.

Toby always makes me smile. He will be missed 😢💔 Very thankful for the music he left us. ❤❤❤ Toby performed in Germany for the troops when my daughter and her husband were stationed at Rammestein military base. They got to spend some time with him after the concert and said he was very friendly and really enjoyed meeting everyone he could ❤ His patriotism was a big part of who he was.

We lost a true American icon/legend. He did so much for our troops, including several USO Tour shows at overseas military bases.

I had the privilege of seeing him twice....once in the 90's and then again after 9/11. He was awesome both times!! "A true American Patriot" that will be missed!!! RIP, Sir~

Toby was a true Country Legend, and his music will live on for generations. He was a true Patriot, and veteran himself, who did multiple tours for our troops overseas. Toby loved his fans as much as they love him, and often went out of his way to accommodate special requests for them.

As an oldish married woman, I 100% endorse the message of this song.

His second number 1 hit from 1994 seems to have gotten lost. I have yet to hear any reactor watch it -- Who's That Man.

My daughter and I saw him live in Cincinnati Ohio shortly after 9/11. He was a wonderful entertainer and everyone in the audience loved him. Red White and Blue was rather new and we all loved it!! So emotional.

His last public appearance was at The Peoples Choice Awards, a few weeks ago. He sang a song called Don't Let The Old Man In. It was extremely emotional. He had lost so much weight that he was hardly recognizable. It was a great performance for him to go out on.

Toby was an all-around good person and a true patriot to the country and our service men and women. Everyone gave him our love like you said BP1. Unfortunately, if love was enough cancer would have been cured a long time ago. It makes me so angry when it takes yet another person from this world long before their time. As far as fun songs Beer for My Horses like you mentioned BP2 is a duet with the great Willie Nelson. I Love This Bar is also great along with How Do You Like Me Now? For the serious side, American Soldier takes the top of the list for me. BP2 why do I suspect with your wardrobe Mrs BP2 may have waited on you a time or two?😅😂 Rest easy, dear Toby. Thoughts of comfort for his family and loved ones.
