I agree with what you said about bloodletters and daemonettes. High damage but squishy and mostly expensive infantry like wildwood rangers, bladesingers and marauder berserkers just don't fit into domination mode very well.

Bloodletters can be a great tac if you're playing Khorne because of how prevalent Warrior spam is. I always like to take the Hellforged Host in reinforcements if I'm playing against a faction that has either hordes or armoured anti-infantry in case the opponent goes hard on the AP.

Blade singers and exalted blood letters get brought in tourney play, wildwood rangers and normal blood letters are just considered not that good.

@@mariojorge68 exalted bloodletters are actually pretty great with how fast they can buzzsaw stuff. Its just the generic variant that's kind of hit or miss. Bur ya bloodforged host for me are almost autoinclude in most matchups.

Depends on the match up. Against Norsca marauder champions or Kislev usually with quite a lot of armor and dwarfs they are great. obviously if the enemy doesn't bring much armored infantry, your expensive high ap infantry is gonna be a waste of money.

the skaven player made it so obvious he was expecting the pit of shades play for a solid 10 seconds but belakor still committed god damn.

Absolutely amazing. Love to see it!

I absolutely love exalted daemonettes, but yea, the basic ones are just too fragile for what they do. I find the slightly higher hp, much higher stats, and enthrall go a long way for the exalted variety. But then of course you have a super expensive unit that while a lot better is still pretty fragile so you will have to work for their value.

10:15 can DoC actually bring herald lords? I‘ve only ever seen demon princes available as options. I guess you could bring a hero as the lord but the cheapest prince would still eat up 2000 gold of your reinforcements granted if it were possible to bring heralds as DoC we would still see belakor most of the time regardless. would be nice to have the option tho

its just princes unfortunately, you would have to put a hero in the lord slot if you wanted to go cheap. I don't see any reason why heralds shouldn't be available to DoC, it would make them more diverse and fun to play and be so easy for CA to implement. So it'll probably never happen

I did a 180 on the DOC player. The unit they threw out at the end were varied and effective.

Be'lakor having 25% missile resist (no other greater daemon or daemon prince has any missile resist) is quite frustrating. Missiles are a tool that players naturally view as a counter to Be'lakor but he shrugs off so much damage even without Shadow Shroud that you can't properly punish him with missiles. I hope CA removes it in 3.0 since I'm pretty sure it's just a hold over from his final boss status in the Realm of Chaos campaign.

@@ds22342 I fail to see how just putting him a level playing field with every other Daemon Prince and Greater Daemon would be "nerfing him into oblivion". Stacking resists have synergy and 25% missile resist with 20% physical resist means most missiles just don't hurt the guy. Mind you missile resist also covers things like artillery and some spells. It's quite silly currently how many things Be'lakor is taking so little damage from. I suspect that if Be'lakor was properly vulnerable to missiles he'd be a lot less oppressive as he's currently priced. As is players bring what should be a natural counter and Be'lakor ignores it. Being expensive is only a risk if you can't consistently pay for yourself.

Be'Lakor costs a lot even when stripped down; a proportion of missiles and mass equal to Be'Lakor's cost will effectively counter him if your micro's even halfway good.

@@capadociaash8003 Are you kidding here? How was he sniped, he left alive after being locked in place and taking 4ish volleys from two gutter runners and a ratling gun. Any other lord in the game in that early game situation would have been dead ages ago. 25% more damage on the ranged units would have killed even even with the 40% ward save from the shadow shroud, which is appropriate when you throw your lord unsupported directly into a bunch of missile units and monstrous infantry. Be'lakor is unique in his ability to throw himself into what should be absolutely suicidal and then just leave while largely fine. Missiles should punish the guy without the player using him being absolutely suicidal, but as is he can do stupid things and leave scott free unless your opponent puts a huge amount of resources into focusing him, at which point he leaves hurt but able to continue influencing the game for another 10 minutes.

It IS called the imperial guard.

This has been a long running strategy of GW to replace the more generic faction names with names they could trademark. That's why they want us to call space marines astartes for example.

@@lb2791 The best thing was when they started to highlight their trademarked names in Black Library novels in bold letters - untranslated. I tried to read one of these novels and got ripped out of the story everytime my eyes would hit the bold english word. Last book I did buy from the Black Library.

@@lb2791 Warhammer Fantasy wasn`t profitable enough as far as I understand it. AOS is much easier to sell as a gaming system. It`s still a shame that they nuked the old world and replaced it with Manga style DnD nonsense... I did build a decent Age of Fantasy table last year. The Knights of the White Wolf still ride.

@@TheAlwaysPrepared That's one reason, the other was trademarkability. The two were also linked, as other miniature companies could easily sell minis that replaced GW minis because all the factions were just basic fantasy tropes. Now look at Age of Sigmar factions: They all have some non-generic spin and a totally new faction name that's trademarked by GW. That way it's much harder for other companies to come in and take a piece of the pie.

Is Turin the last big streamer/caster doing domination these days?

Belakor and the Demon Princes really should just be the flat unbreakable they are in the game.
