How is the best /ideal way to part your hair, because I brushed my hair back and the results wasn't good 😭🤦🏼♀️🤯 what would you suggest?

@Nancy-fv2fg part it in the middle to get a universal effect, in my opinion.....because I wear different parts depending on the way I style it Don't forget to save the hair for money pieces, if you want that face framed highlight

My cap had pre-made holes. These do not. Thick and very hard and painful to poke needle through, if you can! 😠

My husband pulled mine through the cap TODAY...for his first time ever. BAM !! saved us $200. I promise it turned out better than my pricey ex hair stylists. ❤❤ Only issue was my husband is a manly man and he treated my hair like he was working on a truck motor 😮ouch! But $200 is two hundred dollars in our bank account! Cha~Ching!

Beautiful and yes bring them back. Remembering how well they used to be decades ago despite the painful bit when hair strands were pulled out but results were lovely and natural like here. I should have done this on myself instead of getting ripped off by a recommended hair dresser who did an awful job, never going back to hers. Thank you for sharing this 🙏🏻❤

It amazes me how a couple of hairdressers I know refused to use the cap. It’s the method I want to use and I’m the paying customer. Don’t tell me foils are better.

Bridgette Grainger Thanks.. Do you remember which company\brand? I Iooked on Amazon.. Alot of reviews said the silicon was a cheao grade and fell apart. So I prefer to buy from a company... that someone can actually vouch for the grade of silicon quality & refer me to.

omg i’m a hairstylist and i absolutely hate cap highlights, don’t get me wrong they look good but that’s only if ur good at them and know exactly how much lighter is going on bc if you put anymore than intended you will indeed look like a cheetah

Amount of product doesn’t make you look like a cheetah it’s the pulling through with the correct hook size and the amount of hair being pulled through Saturation of product is important or you won’t get a even lift

You process the same,you can see the strands of hair!! I've been hairdressing from the 70s and have always had good results with a cap. You can tone too before taking the cap off. I do my own with it still!! Don't knock it till you've tried it! Xx

actually pros dont use a cap with holes already there you get one where you have to make your own with the hook you make your own pattern and its much better. the holes are much tighter and dont bleed but its really agony to have it done i had it done twice never again so so painful

you can get the nape but you have to use two plastic caps or bags and put them one over the other facing the opposite ways and get them super super super tight .. using the plastic bags over the cap gives a nicer result tho and you get more in ...get ones where you make your own holes and are made for that because if you try to put more in in ones that already have holes it will split and leak ..its always painful tho not gonna lie ..people are just afraid to tell the stylist ..also it can break hair

This was done in a professional salon there is no dots .. your seeing the product on the hair when the cap comes off .. the finished result is flawless

There are no spots. I’ve done this many times all you need to ensure no spots is no runny bleach. Thick consistency is best

Nothing that a root tap with 7n or 6n won't fix. I also love cap highlights.

Not always, I try not to place bleach onto cap, I usually run it through ends and up the strand gently to avoid the bleach going back through holes. Also, I use a new, disposable cap each time, this helps too. Also, make sure your bleach is thick enough, too runny and it will bleed back through holes also. I hope this helps!

Best working are the caps included with kits, like frost n glow...leave no patches, already has holes pre-made. Not painful at all removing cap. Sometimes all tried n true works the best!
