This is better than the Braava in many respects. The Scooba scrubs between tiles too. Braava just goes right over it. Yall need to make a bot that is a sort of combo.

@@chrismadison305 I've had a scooba for years. It scrubs and cleans grout better than the braava jets. As far as getting into crevices it was much better.

i have a ceramic floor and i think that the roomba and the scooba are the best options for cleaning the floor, problem is i only have money to buy one of them right now. what would be the best option for me to buy now? i think the scooba would be a good but i would like to have somebody's opinion on this? i will eventually get the two of them because neither me or my wife have time to do the house work, but if some one could point us on the right way we will appreciate it

Regulation Rumba! Especially if you have carpets. Rhumba gives a complete cleaning dust and would not accumulate stains on the floor, falling down on fluids. You can always move a rag on the floor and you do it the workings of Scooby.

Imagine the one of these with Vslam or Lidar and the market share it would've captured, instead IRobot seems to be content enough with ripping off people with the Braava refillables

I hope you're working on a scooba with an automatic empty/fill home station and smart mapping. The braava really can't handle transitions. 🥴

I've had this model for a few months now (after enjoying the Roomba for a long time) and I gotta say I have mixed feelings about it. The goods - It cleans pretty good and if you have children - it's perfect for keeping the living room clean on a daily basis. The bads - It's NOISY compared to the roomba. How noisy? VERY. It doesn't clean stains well. Unlike the Roomba which can detect dirty areas and go over them back and forth - this one doesn't, and it misses black stains. The brush is too soft - It won't remove any sticky stains or hard stains. It doesn't do corners or under the panels at all. It covers very little space so if you have a very big living room - forget about it. You can't use regular floor washing solution, you have to buy iRobot's. It's expensive and comes in small bottles. You need to empty it and wash its part every time you use it and it's sometimes tedious compared to simply draining a bucket. It doesn't have a docking station - you have to connect a cable. So.. bottom line - I'm still happy with my buy - my living room is clean and I don't have to scrum the floor all the time. I only wish it was as good as the Roomba.

It doesn't COME with a docking station. That's point. You have to BUY a docking station.

Yeah. That's correct. U have to buy. But it's different that "doesn't have". Anyways Scooba was discontinued. I was sad that Braava Jet 200 series is the robot that replace Scooba 450. =|

For me is a very good robot. I only have to say that hardfloor is pricy and that it doesn't make the corners. But I wish they turn Braava Jet better than it is, because so far away it can be compared to the job made by Scooba.

Scooba was discontinued. Braava Jet 240 replace it.

Yes, it was. I spoke directly with iRobot and was officialy discontinued. It can be found on some stores but when end the units, it´s gone.

Why Scooba does not have a navigation system like other models of vacuum cleaners ? or even a strategy in its movement ? I have almost watched all videos made by the purchasers and has noticed the movement of this robot. I can tell that I did not notice a smart movement during the cleaning cycle. For example, the movement of scooba is very random, just reflecting between walls and no edge tracking sensor like many other vacuum cleaners do. Also, there is no straight line movement to ensure that it did not miss any spot in the floor and to reduce the cleaning time too. As a conclusion, I assume that the developer of this model should introduce a smarter robot in the next version

Agree. I realized in this video the movement seems to be bouncing around randomly, as it does not scan the area nor does it detect how much times it went over a certain pathway/etc. I'm hoping to see new improvements sooner or later.

At least mine does wall running and around furniture as roomba does.

Very cool robot. But if you are going to clean your floors everyday with water, wooden floor will be damaging.

There is nothing as good in the market anymore. 😞

American people are getting fatter because of this thing.

I hardly used it and now My Scooba isn't Discharging Water! It will cost a fortune to return the item and it is not under warrantee! Complete waste of money!
