I can’t see it at all. I’ve rewatched season 1, and he was far more interesting, and natural when he was chasing Siena, particularly when he was smouldering for her at the boxing match. Season 2 was very disappointing. The chemistry only became apparent in episode 8, yet it was still contrived and staged.

@@Swann77ful if more than one unmarried sister is present, the eldest will always be addressed “Miss SURNAME” with the younger ones being distinguished by their first names aka Miss Edwina Sharma. So with the Bridgertons, before Daphne married she was Miss Bridgerton, with Eloise being Miss Eloise Bridgerton, but now Daphne is married, Eloise is the eldest unmarried sister, so becomes Miss Bridgerton.

When Anthony was caught taking in Kate's scent before stepping into the gallery and getting caught by Lady Danbury was comedy gold!

His brain registered the moment too late, refused to accept the changes, but his heart won over his stubborn mind, the way he slowly smiled realizing he was going to marry Kate and have her as his wife. The bane of his existence. The object of his desires.

IM A SUCKER FOR AN ENEMIES TO LOVERS STORY 😩😍

When Anthony finally said “I love you” I literally cried. For so long he tried to fulfill his duty by protecting and caring for his family, but he lost himself in the process. He gave up his happiness for his family. He didn’t think he deserved love and tried to avoid and deny it for so long until his feelings for Kate overcame him to the point that he just couldn’t anymore. Kate was the same way - everything she did was for her mother and sister, but she never considered what she wanted, until she met Anthony. Their similar backstories are part of the reason why they’re so perfect together. It made me so happy that they both found someone they truly loved and could be happy with because they deserved it more than anyone else. This edit is great!!

The flashbacks were an excellent choice, they gave so much context to how Anthony behaved. Watching the pain his mother endured from losing his father truly had an impact on what he wanted in marriage. Not to mention his inability to mourn and process the loss because he was thrown into his duties immediately after his father’s death. It was an awful upbringing for Kate, but it truly allowed her to relate to Anthony in a way that most women could not, especially in that era.

My only nitpick was that we didn't get to see young Kate with her father. Seeing how Edmund's death affected him was important. Seeing why Kate had to take on the responsibility of caring for her mother and sister was equally important and would very much liked to have seen it.

When they’re dancing at the end and all of a sudden people start leaving the dance floor and she’s like “do you want to stop” and just looks at her and says “just keep looking at me, no one else matters.” I cried so hard! I cry every time I watch that scene!

no bc you can actually see the change in how Anthony carries himself in the last part of episode 8 when they are newlyweds, he just seems so much more ,, free and ,, happy, like I truly can’t explain it and my chest actually feels like it’s about to burst every time I see that scene of them just being in so love and so .. them after waiting for so long to finally have each other edit: like I might be hallucinating but Anthony’s face throughout the first and second season always seemed to show him being tense and unhappy, i’m drawn to that crease between his eyebrows that seemed to be present 90% of season 2 but it’s basically disappeared in that ending scene of them when they’ve married and wow it just brings tears to my eyes because his happiness and joy is so clear and evident sorry I just can’t stop rewatching it and I can’t stop thinking or talking about it

I might be in the minority but I personally thinks this season is better than the first one. I feel like it has more structure and deep question. I love the parallels between Kate and Anthony which makes them so perfect together. And again, this adaptation is wayyyyy better than the book. that is the beauty of slowburn my friend. every i love you was unspoken. every action proved their words against eachother wrong. to hear so many i love you's from a couple that was in denial would be out of character and forced. they spoke with lingering glances, subtle touches, sensuality. i preferred it when he said she was the bane of his existence and the object of his every desire, to the i love you

Watching Anthony being totally, completely, desperately and hopelessly in love with Kate is the most romantic act I've ever seen on Netflix or any drama, no exaggeration whatsoever. The way he would lose his usual self and coolness when she's in the room is just so satisfying to watch. The way he would look at her so intensely to the point it makes you stop breathing. The way he would breathe her lilies' scent and was driving him crazy is just insane. The way he would touch her as if he never touched a woman before, not to mention the way he was perplexed and nervous when she pulled up her dress so she could cross over, even though he had seen tons of naked women before. they both played their characters perfectly, i can not imagine anyone but them playing Kate and Anthony, it's like these characters were made just for them. Also, the fact we'll see more of them as happy married couple in season 3 makes me do happy.

i get that the various subplots in the series are setting up for the following seasons but i just can’t help but wish for more kate and anthony scenes 😫 i just feel like there was more to be explored with their relationship and how it developed.

My guess is they have to. He's the head of the family and there is still Francesca and Hyacinth to debut. Hyacinth is going to make him crazy, He's gonna need Kate to reel him in.

Anthony had such a strong personality that he needed someone like Kate who could challenge him like Daphne said. Kate is an older sibling like him looking out for her younger sibling. They share that 'burden' / responsibility of being the leader of their families. Edwina sweet as she, is just too soft and boring for Anthony. I do not mean this as a diss, but he needed someone who understood him in a way that Kate did but Edwina did not. I feel like any one in a leadership position needs a spouse they could lean on. Kate was a rock that could keep him standing under the pressure while Edwina was a soft pillow that would put him to sleep lol

love the way he lost control the moment he heard that she's leaving.

Spoiler I guess, but my favorite and weirdest thing this man has done was after the whole wedding debacle, they go to that painting gallery thing, and as he waits for Kate to walk by, he takes a HUGE SNIFF. Just…sir…are you okay? I love him and Kate in this season.

No chemistry between them. Even their frustration and ambivalence was staged and wooden. Didn’t like them at all.

why do people complain about the confession thats 10 minutes before the ending when anthony literally confesses every episode since ep 4 that he's obsessed with her LMFAOOO EVERY SPEECH LITERALLY TOPS SIMON/DAPHNE'S "I BURN FOR YOU" (which is literally even anthony's line in the book LMAAAAOOOO)

I have notice from the begining that Anthony never stare into Edwina's eyes instead he is obsessed with Kate's scent. Anthony and Kate's eye contact is so robust as if their souls are dancing and burning together!!

the way he puts his hand on his heart when he says he loves her... I can't I just can't this is too much :,)

“I am a gentleman” is 1000% this seasons “I burn for you”. Because every time he said it it was to mask all his desire. It was his way of saying I can’t act on these impulses and these feelings and the way he delivered the line each time made those feelings PALPABLE.

Yes! That’s why she had to jump him in the church. Coz he would never have initiated it. He wanted to protect her honour. But the minute she did, he was sunk.

The "you are the bane of my existence and the object of all my desires" melted my heart!!

The connection. Thrilling chemistry. The sheer intimacy. The looks, longing and the pining. Epic, forbidden, slow burn, full blown Romance. The gorgeous romantic lines. It was everything I wanted 😍😍😍 I'm honestly grateful they focused on them falling in love and dealing with or trying to deal with their feelings and bless us all with the period drama romance sexiness rather than giving us multiple sex scenes. I enjoyed this far better than I did S1, probably has everything to do with just how invested I was in their relationship from the first episode and continued to do so till the last which could not be said for Daphne and Simon. Kate and Anthony were perfect and are soulmates, I simply loved them. Kate is so gorgeous, she looked like a Disney Princess and Anthony this season was.. simply swoon worthy 😍😍😍

the scene mama bridgerton tells him kate's finally awake... goddammit... losing my mind. wow. his smile, the soft laugh, the tears????? the man who did not cry after his father, breaking down over the thought of losing his kate??? yeah. replayed that scene 3 times and it's just. so perfect. i cried lmfao

This edit is perfect it's obvious how They are drawn to each other since the start even around people but you forget "Do you think that there is a corner of this Earth that you could travel to far away enough to free me from this torment?" and the most iconic quote of Anthony "You are the bane of my existence. '' ''And the object of my desires. All at once''

Anthony is so obvious, especially during that church scene. He would even memorize her smell when she passes by, he is down bad for her. I wish there was more screen time with these. I could just watch them steal glances with each other and I would scream. This edit is soo good, their chemistry, their scenes, everything!

At first i don't like season 2 because it is really different from the book. The nuance is not like season 1. And then i watch again (already four times and still growing). I realize this season is supposed to be different and far away from fantasy romance. Kate and Anthony are representation of being the oldest child. They love their family more than anything. They forget to find love and happiness for them. Like Daphne said "Edwina is Perfect" and that's why she's too good to be with Anthony. Kate and Anthony are really a match for each other. So, in the end. Kanthony rocks guys...😁

it's good they change it btw bec if they follow the book they will repeat Season 1 stroryline of forced marriage due to scandal....better yet in season 2 Anthony Choose to be with Kate not bec of people found them in a compromising situation it makes more sense to their story

The part with the bee, when he is jealous and stares at Kate while she is on the canoe, when he asks her when will she leave, EVERY time they are about to kiss. And seeing how intoxicated he becomes when around her. It’s just GAAHH Amazing! I love their relationship and the sexual tension they face throughout the show. Don’t get me STARTED when he says “you are the BANE of my existence… and the object.. of my desires”

I have been looking for this edit for months. Specifically the Cinderella ‘So this is love’ portion because it’s perfection

God he's so good. The conviction in his voice, micro-expressions, even how he breathes. I hope he gets more roles outside of theater cause he's truly phenomenal.

Nowadays, it's a precious rarity for us viewers to watch a couple with such natural and undeniable chemistry. They're both good at their job and they did great with their characters, but when the plot brought them together, they were truly a force of nature. I really hope more casting directors watch this season and realise how this couple took an otherwise tropey story (something that's not necessarily bad) that we've all read/ watched multiple times and set the new standard for on-screen synergy.

When he said "I will humble myself before you because I cannot imagine my life without you" dead ass made my knees weak and my heart melt ❤🥰🥺

4:56 i think what struck me about this moment (other than him biting his lip) is that she’s also standing up for his honor. up until this point he’s been the main one doing so, so seeing/hearing her say she knows how much it means to him and therefore cares about it just as much makes him fall 10 times harder for her

Anthony totally lost it after episode 4. He was OBSESSED lol. I absolutely loved this season

Its the way he softly said I love you and put his hand on his heart. The very same place she put her hand on him for the very first time.

When she talks about her bee sting and says “I’m alright though” the way he says “ah” in response to that is so cute

the parallel between kate putting his hand over her heart in the bee scene to calm him down and him putting his hand over his heart when he finally tells her he loves her……….YEAHHHHHH

when he says “GO…INSIDE” to her I felt it in several places

Anthony was so vocal about his feelings. Even more so than the Duke last season. I was in tears anytime they spoke together

Benedict in the background of the wedding scene gets me every time😂😂

Both actors did an amazing. It felt so real as if they were really profoundly in love with one another I hope to see more of them.

Me and my mom made the remark that Edwina was too sweet with him. As my mom put it “Edwina is so sweet and innocent, Anthony would accidentally say something and break her heart”. He needed someone not to be his polar opposite (as Daphne did with Simon), but someone to match his spirit and his attitude and knock him down a peg when his pride began to cloud his judgement. That someone was Kat

Season 1 I ended the season really not having any love for Daphne and Simon. Season 2, I feel the complete opposite for Kate and Anthony.

season 2 is the ONLY season i will ever re-watch out of any series. when i talk about a slow burn, tension, longing, enemies to love, forbidden trope... this is what i mean. no other show has been able to protray the raw and realness of it. it didn't feel forced, it was clear there was always a thread between the love/hate. and the fact that they recognised it so soon, but fought it everytime was golden. i felt every glance, touch, eye contact.

not me liking every comment that match with my thoughts while watching these two love and hate each other

I love how daphne knew almost from the start. She knows her brother so well and really liked Kate. They are the girls you want around you to hype you up.

Dude, the lighting in the library was godsend to kate, Antony looked like he was about to pounce on her like a starving beast.

This chemistry is just intoxicating

There are so many moments I fell in love with this season. But I think my favorite was the bee moment. Thank you so much for compilation

Jonathan Bailey killed it this season my Lord, my heart was a soft puddle every episode 😍😍😍😍 and Simon Ashley portrayed Kate so perfectly my only complaint is that the way waited until the last ep to have them as a couple when in the book it happened mid way but hey that's tv, I know. Also Edwina wasn't thirst for Anthony either in the book she knew that there was something between them
