Totally agree. Even though I love Simon and Anthony, when Simon and Anthony went around London city sleeping with ladies left and right and acted like emotionally unvailable, noncommittal bachelors, 22-year-old George was on the field trying to find solutions for the farmers to achieve higher productivity with less work put into, trying to make the better bread for his subjects, not sleeping with ladies just because he could, respecting and treasuring Charlotte from the first moment he saw her, while carrying a mental illness We shouldn't compare people's individual pains and burdens to each other. But George is the closest we can get to the definition of a dream man, if it's not because of his mental health ❤

If you read the books, Shonda has made them wayyyyy better. I love the Bridgerton books, but damn, the occasional misogyny in the books was sooo tiring and Shonda made the dialoguessss way more swoooon worthy.

Definitely, what Shonda does for the series is giving the women more agency and voice. You get more insight into how they feel which are also genuine feelings rather than being overcome by the new sensations of lust.

The way this series has changed the trajectory of how I view love is insane

Corey Mylchreest was a BRILLIANT choice for King George. His first big acting gig and boy, is he talented!!!

I didn't think and could not see that Shonda could top the romantic brio and phenomenal following she achieved with the first two Bridgerton seasons. But she has. Before this Queen Charlotte, Shonda was "merely" a genius screenwriter, producer. But with this? She's now the cinéma poet laureate of love in a multihued world that always was, but now can speak and be that Truth. Queen Charlotte is this world's poem. Me too. This show really affected me. Maybe because it is partly based in fact. By all accounts these two royals really loved one another. And knowing in real life that his madness did indeed eventually overtake him makes it all the more poignant.

there's a quote from the duke & i (the book about daphne and simon) where they're getting it on at the end and he's rlly emotionally overwhelmed and he's like "i want to be in your heart. i-i want to be in your soul." and she goes "oh, simon. you're already there." and they don't talk after that and i die everytime i read it

i was never the person who cried during a show or movie but this series had me bawling. i spent about half an hour crying after the finale god knows why. I thought it was just a one time thing but then i saw this edit 2 months after watching the show and it had me in tears again. God! they really did something with this one. The lead actors are terrific actors and to think this is Corey's first major project is absolutely astonishing. I knew the story was going to have a sad ending but i never ever imagined myself so heartbroken for this couple.

6:57 is the cutest moment in the entire series. When he looks away when she looks at him, I cannot with the cuteness.

I agree. I preferred season 2 and its classic slow burn love story over season 1. The actors who played Anthony and Kate had better chemistry than Simon and Daphne. I also found Daphne to be boring as a character. She's kind of a Mary Sue.

Listen I never thought I would like a couple/season like I did season 1. Season 2 was a disappointment and I loved that book but queen Charlotte?? QC it’s on a different level! Amazing chemistry, amazing love story! I cried so much and the cast? Have you seen all their interviews? They have been making me laugh so much 😂. They are perfection!

What the caption said because PERIOD! i really just love the chemistry. They're so compatible, one of the best matches. You can tell despite Charlotte not knowing George when she first met him. She knew she was gonna fall in love. George was already in awe but it became deeper when he gets to know who Charlotte is as a person and how intelligent, witty and strong she is. What a wonderful woman and even intriguing hubsand. Even despite his differences, George knew who was his venus, and Charlotte knew who was her forever love. Even as she grow older when she became scorn, its because she missed her hubsand. She loved him dearly and it was seen through every love, and every argument. Theirs hearts burn for eachother and my heart cries in joy for being able to witness such masterpiece. Never thought I'll love a show this much😭. C&G forever more❤🔥
