The mother should incorporate her petals into her own mother-of-the-bride dress! That would be beautiful 🤍

It drives me crazy when mothers insist on reliving THEIR wedding day by taking away from their daughters the very freedom and choices the mother had on her day.

What is it about their daughters getting married that turns mothers into absolute nightmares
@malpqueen2.057

Not necessarily. It's usually the moms doing that back several generations. Example, the Mom, probably had her mom do the same thing to her, back in the 80s. It probably happend to the grandma, with her mom.

i hope my daughter has the wedding day i didn't get to have BECAUSE she'll be able to choose the dress that's perfect for her and make all the arrangements to her liking.
The mother got to choose her dress, why wouldn't she want her daughter to have the same experience. It's so selfish when a mother wants to re-live their wedding day through their daughter.

Mothers of the bride need to remember this: You already had your day!!! Now it is your daughter's turn. BRIDES. WANT. THEIR. OWN. DRESS. Unless they ask you for it, they do NOT want to wear your dress.
This bride could pull off any dress she put on! As for the moms petals, if they sew them onto a garter, it could be the brides "something old" if she wants to follow that tradition. She could also have them incorporated into her bouquet.

Honestly, i don't understand how a mother can consider it to be so special if her daughter wears her wedding dress or incorporates parts of her dress into her dress when the mother is DEMANDING she do it! Doesn't that take the special out of it? It's special because it's her daughters choice to do so! Its stupid!

Maybe she didn't! 😂. But I agree 💯.
I wonder if anyone considered incorporating mom’s flowers in her bouquet 🤷♀️
That gorgeous bride would have looked great in a paper bag.
I feel like mom could have the petal lace made into a pretty little corsage or something that could compliment the dress well and still make it suitable for the bride without it being a panel of lace somewhere. But I’m glad she stepped down and acknowledged that even though she isn’t getting what she wanted her daughter feel’s amazing anyway

Or maybe somehow in the bride's bouquet (depending on the style).
“Randy wants to hide my petals!” Priceless!
Mom wanting to add peices of her dress to her daughter's wedding gown would be talking the whole day how "you see those petals, those were a part of MY wedding dress". She'd be making the day about her 🤦♀️🙄🤦♀️🙄🤦♀️🙄

I really wanted to see my baby girl in a full gown with my veil that her Grandmother and I made. That said I knew my place. She wants no veil and picked an elegant simple more evening gown style with a little lace detail on the split leg. I told her it's beautiful on her, it is, paid for with a smile and kept my opinions buttoned up. My place is to pay for stuff and be happy she is.
@codename495

You’re a good mom, and you never know, maybe if she had daughters they might fall in love with the veil.
Wow such an Interesting episode Randy calling out the 80's style is so funny 🤣💙
When they're looking at dresses at the beginning and Randy pulls a blush number forward and says, "She might enjoy that..." THAT is my dress!!! And I love it!! My hear fluttered when I saw it on the screen! (Mine's currently safely tucked away in a double garment bag waiting to go to the cleaners. *^_^*)
I understand the moms wanting to create a tradition with their gown, I have a little pair of pink Oshkosh overalls that all of my girls have worn and save them for when I have granddaughters one day. However my question would be, we’re the moms willing to use their moms dress or any part of it when they got married? If not they have no argument! Now these little petals would be very easy to incorporate into the bouquet, sew on a hankie, the ring pillow etc.

I'm all for passing a sentimental heirloom down from generation to generation. Or somehow incorporating something passed down and adding it to something new. BUT come on mom. Your child said no. Give it a rest.
The mom needs to get over herself, it's not her wedding. The bride is lovely.
There must be a hundred ways to use those little petals. It’s an easy compromise.

That last dress was perfect on her! Not all brides could pull off that style.
I would have put the petals on the veil somewhere near the bottom so they peep out every now and again. Bless her mum.
2. Moms, if your daughter actually "wanted" to wear your gown, y'all would NOT be with Randy at Kleinfelds. Y'all would be at his tailor shop in that basement. That's that. Period. End. Of. Discussion.

Mom, if you got to choose your wedding dress, your daughter should, too.
She chose wisely that definitely is her dress ❤❤❤
The mother had the petals from her own wedding gown. They could be fashioned into flower blossoms to be incorporated into the bouquet. That would put the material into an area of contrast and be more evident in the photos. If they were incorporated into the gown, they would most likely be difficult to see in pictures. So, they need to see a florist, not a seamstress. Also, I feel for this bride. My mother loves everything I hate when we go clothes shopping together.
This mother NEEDS TO STOP!!!!

I let my daughters make there own choices in their wedding dress. My youngest got married last year. The oldest will get married in 2024, couldn't have been prouder, is thier day not mines, we should just support them on thier big day😊
Any of those dresses looked beautiful on her.
One of the most stunning brides! LOVE the dress she chose at the end it felt rlly timeless. Also maybe they could have incorporated the petal on the veil?
Lol could of just added the petals to the vail
A girl deserves to have the dress she wants. Mom needs to butt out. She could let her use a piece of her jewelry on her special day.
Have a florist tuck the lace petals into her bouquet. 💐😊✌️❤️🦋🙏

My daughter redid my Vail and is wearing it on her wedding day you can't expect your daughter to want what you had
Maybe the petal could have been incorporated somewhere on the bouquet?
I like the idea of secreting away the petals in the dress somehow but not out in the open unless it is the brides idea.
Perhaps moms petals could have been incorporated into the bouquet or appliqued onto a handkerchief
If I had a daughter (I have sons, but anyway), they wouldn't be able to wear my wedding dress because I chopped it up, dyed it and made it into a more functional dress. I asked my husband first of her minded and he didn't!
She looked gorgeous in EVERYTHING that she put on!!! She could have worn any one of those dresses and looked beautiful on her wedding day. The dress she picked is definitely a head-turner. And I'm glad mom finally gave up on the petals. That was tacky. I would have NEVER tried to pawn my 1980 or 1996 wedding gowns off on my daughters. It was never even a thought so I don't get why a mom would think her daughter would want to wear her out of style wedding gown. The only exception would be if it was vintage couture.
The bride is lovely. That dress is lovely - the combination made both even more lovely!
They could have incorporated the petals into the bouquet.
I can't stand when moms an family members try to take control of the dress appointment 🤦🏽♀️ .... its not your day! Its the bride's wedding 💍 let her get what she wants! Ladies please save your money and buy your own dress an get what you want !! dont let anybody take control over your big day !
What is matter with these Moms? THEY ARE NOT GETTING MARRIED!!
Mummy mummy Stop, you’ve had your Wedding let your daughter have hers
Wow this bride is gorgeous!!
her eyes are gorgeous!!
Mix the petals into the ribbon on the flowers the bride and bride maids carry, if Mom really needs them in the daughter’s wedding.
The petals could become the bouquet wrap.
that girl can pull off anything…. STUNNING
Omg...just got to see this in my recommendations...I am a huge Gator fan and to see he has a beautiful love is awesome!
How about this one take the petals incorporated somehow in a picture frame with the wedding picture. Give it to mom as a gift. Something she can show case in her house.
lol not mom pouting!
I saved some lace from my wedding gown, 1981. When my daughter got married, I designed a lace bracelet and incorporated Swavorski crystals and simulated pearls on the lace for some bling. My daughter is very picky, but she loved the bracelet and wore it with her wedding dress.. I was recovering from a double mastectomy and chemo and I cried while making the bracelet.
ok but to be fair, mom's dress is so chic. also I think she was one of the most stunning brides I've ever seen on this show.
Randi was absolutely right about the 80’s fashion. It was DREADFUL!
I hope I am still that in love with my dress in 50 years😂
I saw a YT video in which a mothers 80's wedding dress was completely dismantles and redesigned into another dress for her daughter and it turned out beautiful.
@kateyare4708

I'm sure there was enough fabric and lace in an 80's gown to make just about any fashionable gown in this day and age.
Depending on the bouquet-attach the "petals" to ribbon wrapped around the stems of it. It's not mom's wedding-please respect that..
how about using the petals on the bouquet....i have also seen a bride have a piece underneath....in tribute
Dear mothers: stop trying to live through your daughters
I love say yes to the dress ❤
Adding something special in the bouquet is nice
Mom's dress looks like dragon scales 😂😂 She looks great in everything mom needs to let it go. Or place the petals down her veil
Niche's earrings are PURE CLASS
I would say this. Mom has to have some jewelry that you like and can wear on that day. Just let her know how much it would mean to you to wear something of hers on that day. She needs to add something to mom's. Everyone that has a great mom has to remember not everyone is so lucky to have that in life. So adding something to also make her happy would be nice. If not at the wedding at least the wedding party. But I believe my picture frame idea is the best way of going about it. Or take one pic with the pedal just for her to have 😶
Put the petals in wedding bouquet
She (the bride) is GORGEOUS!
That mom was annoying 😂
Beautiful family!!!
Incorporating something into a dress from a loved one is usually done regarding people who have passed away. So they can still "be" there with you.
They could have made a bouquet wrap with her petals. So she would have been carrying them
Such a beautiful family and the bride looks great in every dress, Mum should have focused more on her daughter's wishes
Let the bride have her day the way she wanrs
It’s not your wedding mom. Do your job and lovingly support your daughter in her decisions.
I donated my dress to charity after my wedding. There are so many brides that can’t afford nice dresses.
Great choice! Jeez, mom was acting like she had to lay claim to her daughter by marking her. Bizarre.
Randy forgets that it's every mom's dream that her daughter wears her wedding gown. That why she spends a lot of money to prserve it.

Yeah, that’s a big ass assumption. Anyone that actually thinks that nonsense happens now is watching too many movies. Styles change, people have different wants and none of the “ fashion” from the eighties was beautiful or timeless. It was gaudy, tacky overfrilled garbage and belongs in the past.

I have the feeling that if you give this mother an inch, she will try to take a mile. She is a narcissist and has to make the dress all about her.
What a nightmare mother. Leave her at the door.
The bride chose well, that was the best dress!
Mothers lace choice was beautiful
Mom is being ridiculous with those damn petals.
My mom wants me to wear her dress but I think I’m gonna make it as my reception dress and make it short
this daughter and every daughter needs to keep in mind that if God forbid something were to happen to her mom before her wedding she should respect moms request to at least have something from moms dress on to hers
“This is for a 45 year old woman…” Holy shit that was rude!!!!
So the mother wants another wedding 💍 😂😂😂😂, also the 80's gave way to 90's fashion.
My little sister was born in 1984. My parents were married in 1977. The 70s and 80s were not decades for wedding fashion.

There's no way that I could wear her high neck wedding dress. I can't wear high neck lines.
The pedals would be easy…. Incorporate into her bouquet
So this was before she was on Wags Atlanta. She was always going to be on TV 🎉
I would never ask my daughter to wear my wedding dress. No way
I could never have worn my mum's wedding dress. She would never have even thought about it as I am a good five inches taller than she was, and two dress sizes bigger. However the question didn't arise as my parents married right after the end of the second World War when rationing was still a thing in the UK and frivolous things like wedding dresses and the materials to make them were simply not available. She was married in her best work suit. She made my wedding dress as we had a budget wedding and got a down payment on a house instead of a big wedding.
I'm so glad my mom has more sense than to try to be like that. I would have gotten really disrespectful really fast during the appointment.
