These are similar to facing bricks used in New Zealand. Used because all houses are timber framed to resist earthquakes, so outer wall only needs to be weather proof, not weight bearing.

This is all we lay in NZ, gotta cut 190's for the corners. Supposedly better in an earthquake due to less weight, but I don't know about that

you need a special corner brick to make it look like a regular brickwork from the ends.

where did you get these quality bricks from? Can you make a video of bricks being manufactured?

I’m assuming it’s supposed to have some sort of improvement to a standard brick so what is it?

Not sure what the new concept is these sizes have been used in many countries for years, maybe not the UK as we are so backward with our methods.

They will buckle and bulge under the weight if you went up 21 course especially on damp days and the wind wont help.in the 70 and 80 they were experimenting with different length and depths. They brought out the metric brick 200 x 100 x100 it never caught on .looked terrible. The same with 300 mm length. Wasnt pleasing to the eye. Why change something that's worked since the first brick pyramid 3600 year ago.

That wont work on a dry brick! The head joint will set to fast.
