Incredibly detailed and informative video, Stu! You'll help thousands of people over the years with this video series. I'm going to attempt a small garden wall and this video will be most helpful. Thank you for the great content!
Love what you're doing to help young starters out

Microwebb don’t know about young starters. I’m 50 and just learning!
Great tutorial and very well explained. 👍
Thanks for the excellent demonstration. I'm trying to learn brick masonry, but our local vocational college isn't offering their brick course since the pandemic. Your videos are a huge help.

Watched again and liked, as kindly requested :-) keep your head up Stu!
I’ve been a master builder in New Zealand for forty odd years and Yet! Here I am now realising that there was a lot more to laying bricks. The old saying to each their own trades, now makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing your skills
Excellent info. Thank you.
Best video. Thank you so much for sharing your art form. 👍
You have beautiful standard bricks in the UK. Appreciate it! I LOVE these videos.
Thank you , Stu .

Thanks for sharing.
Wish I had decent bricky like you South Wales
*STU Your the "DADDY" of bricklaying* 😊👍👍👍👍👍
Stu also the frog or holes in engineering bricks are there to help them bond better more surface area for mortar to grab onto. you are also right about less material. Great vid as always dude
Thank you for lesson
Legend stu. I'm over your end for the weekend shame I couldn't visit the workshop
Brilliant, really useful information. Could you do a video on setting up your line and show how you move it up the wall to make sure your bricks are straight etc.
Keep up the good work
Good to learn new skills

Mate you are awesome... thanks for a great video.. 👍 I was about to pay ridiculous money todo a course
Nice one Stu , keep it up mate , love watching your videos. Can’t you get KC to lay some bricks 🧱 👍👍👍
Stu us non contractor types find your videos relaxing to watch, so film ALL YOUR WORK with a background camera and just upload those semi raw videos without worrying about too much editing maybe just relaxing music or even asmr videos to generate more views 😉

Nice! Do a tutorial video on laying and flushing up bricks to the line!!

Павел М , не жди, а попробуй. Сложить на себя 4-6 кирпичиков - нереальный опыт
Awesome. Time for me to go and screw this up.
It's funny you that use the golf club analogy for holding your trowel because the flick you do at 9:28 is the same fundamental flick that drummers do with their drum sticks when playing paradiddles and snare rolls
When I went on a course, they mentioned using a key brick to gauge the lowest point do we still need to do this. (PS your vids are much much better than the course ever was!)
Perfecto tutorial lo entiendo por los gestos podrías hacer uno traducido al español 😀 un saludo desde valencia , España crack
I really want to learn Bricklaying so I can build a house.
Superb tutorial Stu 👍
👍👍👍
235 fife stone abit heavy for down and up unless your the Hulk.
The flick is similar to a drumming technique
Amazing video! Please, keep on going. I’ve got 2 questions. Probably, you can cover it in the future videos: - how to properly set up and work with a string. - how to prevent mortar of getting dry too fast after a contact with a brick? In fact, my mortar gets almost sand dry after a contact with a brick. I have super dry bricks or should use any additive to a mortar?
@teo-medesi

Have you figured out how to prevent the mortar from drying too fast? My mortar is also not as sticky or paste-like as shown in the video.
@sergey_zagran

@@teo-medesi hei. Yes, I have I add 1 part of lime, to the mix (5x sand + 1x cement + 1x lime) and plasticiser ( acc to manual).
Awesome Stu but no tapping of the level!!!
👍🏼👍🏼😊
👍👍👍👍
Only sand and lime? No cement?
Привет! Как кельма маршалтаун? Хороший инструмент?
What is the proportion of cement
Your mix, 4 sand one lime.... No cement?
Mulberry Red Dragface that first brick I think? 🤔
When’s lesson 3 coming ??

serious Qs/ why is a frog called a frog??
Greetings from down under. Fabulous series of vids, but the subtitles are hilarious. Some sort of voice to text I gather, which is obviously struggling with the accent.
