    I doubt that Brian Brimanger would have displayed all of those red flags while at first love bombing each of his 'love' interests. Love bombing like future faking it that of course includes promises of marriage to anyone whom he can detect is physically attracted to him. Sounds like Brian Brimanger only had such a strong sense of smell that he could detect it when someone had an unconscious physical attraction towards him. Lots of fish in the sea look attractive and a lot of fish always prefer to be swimming in schools. Some don't.

    Who knows what her background is. Maybe that's at play, too. But either way, as the mother of his child she became dependent upon him and as such possibly was prepared to buy into anything he had to say. Difficult situation. To raise her child, given the situation, would be like walking hand in hand with the child through a haunted house. It's going to require a great deal of leadership on her part and who knows if she's up to the task. Just getting the child to the point of independent adulthood would be a major victory. Good luck to the child.

    I saw this story on youtube's Real Crime channel yesterday, and here it is today. Perfect timing. I would offer to anyone willing to listen, that the move was the killer. Moving to a foreign country, with absolutely zero chance of either partner earning an income, and riding the sex high there, bad bad idea. People get off on the physical, but also the uplift in society from having a sex partner. There is a ton of power bestowed on the sexually active in the US even if it is illicit, but that doesn't travel abroad. Once in another place, you are just 2 "nobody"s. Don't believe me, take a vacation with just your lover, not a group retreat, just go somewhere far away. You'll see. Any English speakers they met in Panama, likely did not even need to work. And there they were, with a bad guitar habit and an invisible clothing business. Trouble in paradise for sure.

    What I really like about Dr Grande's channel is that he's always presenting understandable reasons for human behavior. It deromanticizes crime quite a bit, demonstrating that behind most bad actions lies not "madness" or "crazyness" (though of course insane people do commit insane acts), but some form of self interest, be it emotional gratification, material gain, revenge etc. These actions may be inadequate to our values, but they nevertheless are often demonstrably reasoned.

  • @francesbernard2445

    @francesbernard2445

    3 жыл бұрын

    Decromanticizes? Were you only trying to come up with a euphemism for that blase line which both men and women in the past used to repeat among their only friends often - "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free"? There is such thing as a person becoming criminally insane after only being blase in a hedonistic lifestyle in which the addictions start multiplying and the substance length of time or amount keeps on getting increased for so long that their brain cells start dying including the parts of the brain that govern conscience. Conscience does by the way include the instinct for self-preservation too when being forced to fight until being able to escape death again while living with yet another person who is prone to violence while trying to avoid dying of exposure too. Perhaps Yvonne did decline the wrong kind of 'help' to leave Brian while being in trouble again thanks to having a French name in a region filled with people who don't like the French and who like to assume that French women are easy. Unfortunate that Michael [Another French name] was the only one at the time trying to help Yvonne.

    That’s great that he showed his true colors so soon. Most abusers are very charming and start out as a facade making the woman believe he is everything she’s been looking for. Abuse doesn’t show up until much later when it is mentally and physically more difficult to get away.

    @@Andrewbert109 Agreed. This kind of self-centered moral superiority is just one of the many obstacles battered women face in speaking up, in holding their abuser accountable and in leaving their abuser. The gall of that pukey self aggrandizing comparison - the courage involved in ditching a rude dude at a restaurant is not comparable to the courage involved in leaving a man who may very well kill you and leave your children motherless.

    Not sure this is what happened with the Brimager case, but sometimes women become attached to dangerous men with dark hearts because they feel they need protection from other predatory men. But it's a sword that cuts both ways - the woman may gain that protection from him, but then who is there to protect her from him? Women like this often live a precarious existence.

    It seems to me like we hear more often of killers dismembering the body afterwards to avoid detection. Cutting and chopping away at that body must be a grueling and messy job and I can not imagine remorse doesn't creep in or the sheer reality of what you're doing doesn't repulse or grosses you out during the process. There is a determination an callousness about it that should get you charged for first degree murder. Second degree murder is more fitting if someone can not believe what just happened and is sorry about it...removing the head and limbs of someone you used to be close to is a strange way to show your regret. Btw excellent episode, again Dr Grande, let's see if we can strike 3 times in a row tomorrow...that number of people tuning in is getting higher still. 💫🤩🤞😉🖖

    I had an acquaintance who struggled with addiction. She was especially attractive and came from a well to do family. Her addiction controlled her life. When I’d met her, she had lost everything and was banned from the family home by the time she was in her late 30’s. Her adult son, also dealing with addiction, had become homeless and his health was seriously declining. My friend became homeless and ended up living in a residential facility, a sort of halfway house. The last time I heard from her, she was trying to get into a rehab situation but she needed financial help. When she would go to court proceedings in an attempt to get into specially funded programs, she kept getting turned down. The judges believed she was employable and was just not applying herself. I believe it was because she presented so well. I kept telling her not to wear nice clothes and makeup. Try to look less attractive and try to dumb it down. Don’t use proper grammar. Don’t seem so normal....I was only half-joking. She just didn’t “look” like a homeless, drug addicted woman who was on her last leg. I think this was an example of the halo theory.

    I saw a video yesterday of some lady complaining about Dr. Grande, and saying why she unsubbed. Her complaints were literally “He makes jokes” and “he has opinions”. So, her whole complaint is that he’s trying to make learning entertaining, and that he doesn’t agree with her opinions. She’s even a mental health professional. Goes to show that even our brightest aren’t immune to immaturity and cynicism.

    I found your channel about a month ago,, subbed less than a week after that, and this afternoon started supporting you on Patreon. I had never heard of this case before and I really enjoy your style of analysis. I think you have a good mix of information/infotainment and real mental health issues to consider no matter the topic of the day. I feel you also do a great job with the snarky comments as when a case is more serious there is little snark and when you have a lot of snarky comments it is usually because the subject is lighter, like conflicts between social media influences or outright weird ones like alien lizard people-type stories. Sincere thanks from a fan in Minnesota.

    So true your analysis of how we view people and looks are skin deep and we need to look for so much more. What I learned the hard way but did learn is often times people who are good looking feel they can often times more easily move on regardless of other person's feelings or outcome. Like you said thrill of the moment.

    This is the thing about Red Flags and being in love: When the red flags are spotted by someone outside of the "love connection" they are attacked. And it is so funny, because the person who attacks the "red-flag whistle-blower" eventually becomes the victim of the person they were warned about, and it is usually too late. My experience is fall in love, I have heard it is beautiful, but I might add, do it with your head and not with your heart.
