It makes me laugh every single time! Lol. For many months, i used to see Dr T "suggested" but I never clicked until a few months ago he was wearing thr most beautiful Easter colored shirt, so I thought- "Lemme see what this is all about" It was the first time I had heard the "mostly because of the murder part" that I ended up subbing, became a patreon member, and bought his newest book "The Physiology of Serial Killers" We are so lucky to get a new upload every single day with such funny jokes and the cute cacti family! Hope you enjoy the full moon tonight! Sending hugs from Las Vegas!

It truly surprised me that Judge Jim Wallace allowed Kelly to reenact the stabbing of Jeff Wright on their bed; bloodstained mattress and all! What is surprising about the trial of Susan Wright is that as prosecutor Kelly Siegler did not seek the Death Penalty against Susan. Many people decried the sentence that the courts imposed on Susan as being too lenient and believe that the prosecution should have sought either life in prison or Death by lethal injection.

I've read about this case because of how unusual the prosecution's demonstration was: they brought the bed into the courtroom, not just the mattress as Dr Grande had suggested - one guy laid there like he was tied up and the lady prosecutor climbed on top of him and showed how Susan was stabbing.

If that was not her own testimony I can't understand where "rampant speculation" on the part of the prosecution wouldn't apply here. If I was the Judge I'd have to have a very good reason to allow it. But she got off pretty easy/peasy not matter. Usually in these cases they're either life plus 100 years or psych. incarceration, which means indeterminate.....the state can keep you forever.

Texas sentences criminal defendants to death more than any other Death Penalty state; with Harris County being number one in the issuing of death sentences. Studying the Susan Wright case I was rather bewildered to learn that the prosecution did not seek the Death Penalty against Susan. Similarly, I was surprised that the prosecution in the trial of Mary Winkler also did not seek the Death Penalty because Tennessee is a Death Penalty state.

@JT Raven I'm surprised that as the prosecutor Kelly Siegler did not seek the Death Penalty against Susan Wright. Some people believe that Susan Wright should have been sentenced to life in prison for her crime and others believe that she should have gotten the Death Penalty. Seeing as how Texas is a Death Penalty state like the majority of the southeastern and southwestern US (the exceptions to these regions are New Mexico, Virginia, and West Virginia) it surprises me that Susan Wright didn't get sentenced to death.
