Brewing my first Wet Hop (aka fresh hop) Pale Ale
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
My hop harvest was late this year but it was my first successful one so I will take what I can get! I’m making my first wet hop pale ale! Wet hopping is when you don’t dry the hops and basically brew with them straight off the bine! click show more for recipe & links
The recipe below is meant to be used with pellet hops but if you happen to have some fresh hops, just multiply the amounts by 5!

What a well timed video. Got about 1.5 Lb of fresh hops in the freezer that I’m preparing to use in my first wet hop beer as well. You made it look easy, can’t wait!
So superb! :) I loved it so much! :)
Thank you for the great videos. It will be nice to see a tasting video comparing the two. Our hops took off this year and I’ve been able to make two fresh hopped beers already; the rest of the hops have been vacuum sealed and frozen. I look forward to seeing what else you do with your hops!
Great brew i hope 🙂 Wish that we had some fresch greapefruits in Sweden more often. Im realy not an IPA guy, but my wife would love it! 🙂 I have to try one some day. Thanks for your inspiring videos! 👍
Why did I instinctively reach out when you dropped that glass jar. Lol
Yo that Pilsner Urquell sweatshirt is 🔥
Love You Flora.
Luv the grapefruit 5G batch from the 20G batch. Tried a similar 4 way split but used 2 Corneys and got stuck dip tubes. Forgot to install floating dip tubes in the Corneys. Yeast split was 1) Kviek 2) SO5 3) SO4 4) mangrove Jack M44. Both Corneys blew up even though they only had 4.5G. Fill. Tips for pressure fermenting in Corney’s ???
Is there a reason you did a sparge instead of circulation during mash?
This should definitely be named Grasshopper IPA
Great video. If you are looking for hops, dry whole cone, fresh or pelletized in the future, feel free to try "Fresh American Hops!" Who drinks the 15 gallons?! Wow!
Where to begin, Sarah! Hop vines are amazing! Do you prune after harvest? Need to find your hops video. You don’t usually sparge, why this time? Volume thing? Higher efficiency? Have you given up on recirculation? Amazing video and recipe!

She literally explained why she needed to sparge at the beginning...
