That's coming from a female. It has been proven that men take heartbreak a lot harder than women. I'm sure most men would like to feel that way too, but you can't pick up the pieces and move on till you go through all the phases of emotions. Unfortunately anger is one of them. Also, woman break with men 80% more than men do women. Humans are basically messed up. What we can have we don't want and what we can't have we want. The human mind is a very complex system. It also is a big circle or viscious cycle. At some point someone has to break it. Maybe that's what the song is trying to say?

I can relate to this song! After about 2 years together, he just suddenly just wanted me gone! I know it was bc, he wasn't really ready for a relationship. He was wanting to see other women!!! But, we did end up back together, basically I pushed him into it. I just didn't want to let him go!!! Now here we're are together 40 years and 4 children.

Doesnt always mean its meant to be sometimes it that you did alot of great things for them and they are just single amd lonely ..do they have love for you probably but dont mean they love you enough to stick around it might be just long enough till the grass is greenier again .all my exs seem to come back but yet it ends all the same way i work my ass off loyal and still have alot if love and it burns high again for them but yet it ends the same way they walk away yet again ..so now when they come back i try to remember why we ended and has anything change that woukd make the out come any different ex:one dumbed me after 3 yrs because me having grandbaby all the time helping raise her has that changed nope but he is texting me every morning again and all day doing the stuff that shows me he does care but my grandbaby isnt going anywhere sooo wont work till she is older and to busy for gamma ..i still have her all week after i get off work till i go to work except on weekend sooo nope i love him but nope wont work he is selfish babies and toddlers are the world

That's wht my momma always told me & I never forgot it. I've truly loved 2 Men in my lifetime, both came back. The 1st man to ever hold my ❤️ I married & gave 18½ yrs of my life too. So many times we tried to make it work but it seemed like everything worked against us. I always thought, someday, somehow, we would be able to get back together & live out the rest of our lives together. But he passed away almost 8 months ago. 😢 My 2nd ❤️ I gave 6½ yrs too but him staying sober was the downfall. He finally went to rehab & after being apart for 7 months, we reconnected & he came back into my life. Life was great for 6 months until he slipped again but this time was the last. It'll be 2 yrs come August & there's not a day goes by I still dnt think of him & where he is & how he is doing. "There's nothing I could do to make him stay" I tried but I realized u cnt help some1 who doesn't want to help themselves. & I had to walk away. I always sd, if it was meant to be God will find a way. Well I've bn waiting for 2yrs hoping & praying he wld reach out but he didn't. So guess it's not meant to be. Hurts just as much today as the day I had to set him free. Hoping someday we would reunit but tht hope is slowly dwindling as the yrs go by. I just hope if he has found someone tht he is happy. I'll still hold out hope tht love will find this KY girl someday. They say u hv 3 loves in your lifetime, so hoping I find my 3rd & this time its meant to be.

My best friend and I have an unreal connection that others don't understand. It's a story for the books. We’ve never crossed the line physically but have admitted to our love for one another after ten years. It’s this exact type of love where you only want each other to be happy. I retreated because he didn't realize that he was more than dating a woman and that it wasn't as he saw it. It was his first real relationship, and he was confused. I have felt this way for some time. Somehow, I always fall in love, and he didn’t…. It cuts deep, but I know now, no matter what, he doesn’t feel the same about me. JP I fell in love and you didn’t. I get it, and I am gonna let go, no matter how hard it is, I need to move past this❤️‍🩹

How could this song really exist? I swore this song hit me harder in last December, and the fact is I'm still listening to it right now. It's sad reality that we have no power to make someone stay. The moment when your lips wants to say 'please stay' but you know it'd never make anything better. Thank you for this good song.

This song is just beautiful because I can relate and sadly this is with my baby’s mother I feel like I gave it all but I am thankful for our beautiful daughter she is the only girl who owns my heart now.

This sound is absolutely beautiful! The meaning of this song is so true and very much needed. Heartbreaks happen and how we handle them shows how much we cared for that person while they were in our life. We should learn from it and grow as a human being. Great work Brett! My wife died a cancer 2 years ago I met her when I was 20 she died when I was 60 I was with her for 40 years I see her in every room of the house still just like in this video can't get her off my mind she was the only girlfriend I've ever had I wish I wasn't here anymore I miss you so much
