Brendan brought back Liverpool from the dark days. Wonder what could have been, had Suarez stayed.

He knows he’s come to the end of the road here

I will always have respect for what he's given us. It was a massive improvement from the shite we had to deal with under Woy. King Kenny started the repairs from the dark ages and Rodgers did his very best too. 13/14 will always be remembered fondly. He left Klopp to finish off the project and build the final stages and make us mentality monsters

The Great Character left & German Beer Man came in and rest is history.

@@worldwide6626 Personally I have watched a lot of Dortmund games, the way they played against Real Madrid showed he could be a good manager. Not sure though, hopefully he can challenge for the prem soon and get us back in the pack maybe win an fa cup or so?

I have very fond memories of Brendan Rodgers as liverpool manager. As I've grown older the adrenaline and excitement watching football has withered down, he was the last manager at Liverpool that made my heart race watching us try and clinch our first title in 30 odd years. Thank you B.R

As a fan I honestly appreciate his tenure so much. I think he showed in that 13/14 season that Liverpool were just as capable as anyone else in recent times to chase that title. As Klopp’s team began to grow and performances were elevated, I was able to use Brendan’s time as a benchmark for success. And it came!

Are we forgetting the fact that we conceded 50+ goals that season. Only skrtel and flanagan had good season for a defender. Others were shambolic. We lost because of our defense not because of gerrard. In fact if not for his contribution of 13 goals and 13 assists we wouldn't be competing for title. One slip should not take away that much hard work.

I remember when he came to Old Trafford with Liverpool, they were losing by the second half and I was sitting in the Stretford End shouting "SACKED IN THE MORNING, YOU'RE GETTING SACKED IN THE MORNING---" and all of a sudden the chant spread all over the Stretford End and the whole Stadium. It was a very proud moment for me.

Sky Retros uploads are so on point that for a second I wondered if Brendan got sacked by Leicester.

Honestly, as a Liverpool fan, I have no bad words for him at all. Gave his absolute best and he improved Liverpool slightly. Klopp improved us significantly, but that has more to do with very good investment in top class players and developing them. I felt that Rodgers was not backed that much, with very poor signings
