Maybe I’m a dumbass but I’ve used my bare ass hands to press the pistons back in and never had trouble, am I not supposed to do that lol

No, not a dumbass at all! Haha. You just want to make sure you’re pressing them in equally on both sides so that you don’t end up shooting a piston out. It gets trickier with 6-piston or more calipers but single, two and 4-piston are usually doable by hand.

Question! My Camaro has brembos on the front but they do not have the visible pins like yours. Any idea what I should do?

Hmmm… which Camaro do you have? This fixed Brembo caliper setup is used on many, many cars. Nearly all Brembo calipers have the pins.

I did deeper search and a 10 point star adapter is needed. Wish mine was this simple now I need to go buy that adapter 😅

@@Hi-jt6qr which Camaro do you have? You should not be taking apart the star bolt, that typically holds the caliper halves together.

Honestly, it takes longer to get the car lifted and the wheels off haha. The pads really are only a couple minutes per side and it hurts my soul when I see folks get charged out the nose for a brake job on these cars.

Pad slapping Isn’t always the best option. Shave or replace rotors.

Say what? The rotors were new. Your rotors should last you at least 2 pad replacements unless you’ve got some very cheap rotors.
