    That 11 gallon looks tremendous. Im going to have to try setting up one soon so I’ll be looking over a lot of the past setup videos. Shelf looks good and the fish room overall is 🍒. Great job as always.

    I have a video suggestion. Lots of African Cichlids sift through sandy bottoms for food. I'd love to know what sand is safe that won't hurt their mouth or gills. I'm worried about getting something that may be too rough. I saw some Aragonite sand that looked like it had sharp edges.

    Paul S. I’ve done a video before based on sand. It’s called the best substrate for African cichlids. However it’s being discontinued now which sucks. But I’m on the lookout for another type of sand! Once I find it....I’ll make the video for sure! Thanks for watching & supporting the channel Paul👍🏻

    Do you remove the male once the female is pregnant or are they ok to stay together?

  • @cichlidscape

    @cichlidscape

    2 жыл бұрын

    You can keep them together but she will not eat until she spits out live fry. They fry will then most likely be eaten. I usually get the eggs from the fish and artificially tumbler them. This means the fish can begin eating again and I can take care of and raises the fry

    @@scatdaddi3927 gotcha. A 55 gallon breeder? I’ve never heard of that tank size. What are the dimensions? I would say they are least need 4 ft for a pair. Obviously you’d need to upgrade as front’s get mad sizey! That tank could work for a while though. I know they do grow pretty slow
