    Hey Mark, I really like these types of videos. I have a CRS and a Mixed NEO tank and I would love to know more about the differences regarding all things as I dont know what I dont know. I notice drastic differences between food preferences and water etc but the Neos seem tiny compared to the Crystals and I got a mic of carbon, blue and orange rilis and the tank is mostly clear shrimp and what looks like blue dreams. I ended up with really nice deep blue shrimps that are stunning and never bought those. there is so much about these little guys I do not yet know. I will be starting a nano fish tank to try and start to cull out the clear shrimp which do not motivate me in any way. I would not even know how to properly net them around and such if not for these videos so thanks for that and Thanks so much for the info.... keep up the good work..... Good luck on the surgery...

    Hey Mark! This video is GOLD! Spot on with this one! I’ve had a brilliant idea while watching… What if you set up an UGF within your wc holding tanks (for Caridina water) As that water circulates with the added salts it would essentially put the PH right where you want it prior to doing your water changes! This would allow for larger water changes when needed! I would be interested to see how it alters PH in the holding tank at 24 hr intervals prior to using the water for your actual water changes. My water sits anywhere from 24 hrs to up to a week (with salts) circulating before I use it. I’m going to add some substrate from a tank to this pail to see what happens PH wise… of course I’ll replace some substrate with new to the tank. I think already colonized substrate would be best for the water holding tank to stabilize the water quicker. What do YOU think??? Also I’m very excited for you to have your eye surgery on Tuesday 💚 wishing you a speedy recovery… you will be amazed at how quickly your vision improves… and just how beautiful your wife is ☺️😉

    what do you mean by crashing whats happening with your tank?

  • @patricostlund4526

    @patricostlund4526

    2 жыл бұрын

    Let it cycle and mature first before put shrimp in. If it crash it after cycle finnished you have not engufh filtration (bio)(or not mature engufh/cycle not finnished) and/or not doing the water changes engufh. If amoniak, nitrit problem more filtration need or it need to mature more, probably the first. If Nitrat need to do more water changes. All this can ve solved also by feeding less and clean tank from debrise. If you put leaf in tank, they will burden the tank more as they break down, so then need up filtration. So one thing that can ve good in one way, can also be bad in another way. Like the thing in this video. Both good and bad. I personal only use small real filters with A++++++ filter material, on all my shrimp tanks excepts some temp or smaller tank (theses has a smaller diy version of my bigger tanks) .
