73 mph is fast. On the corner of the Isle of Wight is the Needles lighthouse. OK it is exposed, and the hinterland stretches away nicely, but wins speeds of over 100mph are known here. That could be anywhere, it is just the lighthouse is measuring the force of the wind at an ideal spot. Wooden beach huts do well to resist high winds but there must be a limit, same with your house?
