Well I'm glad one of the WNBA veterans came out and said something respectful about Caitlin Clark. The thing is though, when Larry Bird went to the Celtics, when Michael Jordan went to the Bulls and Magic went to the Lakers. The offenses were tweaked to fit their playing styles. Christie Sides doesn't seem to be making any adjustments Caitlin Clark.

For great shooters, having supreme confidence in their shooting ability, is the single most important ingredient in their on court success. Even for great shooters this confidence can be more fragile than their actual physical ability to shoot at an elite level. This confidence is totally critical to a shooter! And .... it can easily be undermined or actually destroyed by a coach/system that doesn't recognize, support, and adapt to best utilize this great talent. Far better to move a coach out ASAP than to totally destroy a superb shooters confidence before the loss of confidence becomes irreversible!

Caitlin announced she was going to going to enter the WNBA draft on Feb 28th, so Coach Sites had two full months to plan an offensive system around CC before training camp started and that clearly didn’t happen. Coach needs to go!

Of course it's going to be different than in Iowa. Because Iowa was custom built in system designed perfectly for her. Now she comes into the league and she is trying to fit in to a team that had started to build around their previous #1 draft pick, Aaliyah Boston. Boston and Clark are both new to the league. Boston only has had one season. They don't have top veterans helping them to grow. So yeah they are just going to have to keep working hard and figuring out what works best.

Finished watching a couple W games and observed how one doesn’t see much double teaming. Unlike CC with the Fever. As soon as she crosses the mid court, she’s got in your face guarding throughout the time she’s handling the ball. What gives? This isn’t being done in the other games I’m watching. Not even close.

Its called defense, it's called defense, the purpose of the game is to score more points than the other team and to stop them from scoring points, the basic concept of any sport. So no, there are not going to let the "best player that has ever picked up a basketball" mosey on down the court and score a ton of points. Again, NOT COLLEGE any more!

  • @jacquelinetaylor1967

This is the main reason she is having adjustment problems at the moment. For some reason defense in college sucked! Running plays; pick and roll, pick and pop, give and go was not part of Iowa's arsenal, therefore, CC will have to adjust to the new game plan. There is no need to call out the coach, coaches, nor refs to justify her transition into the W

Caitlin is playing with a bunch of shitty players. If she had even one really good player who could yell at her teammates and tell them to move and run maybe things would be better. Plus, I've watched games in this league for years. I have never seen a player be guarded like Caitlin has. And once again, they can stay on her the lenth of the court and double team her when she hits the top of the key because her teammates just stand around and do nothing to help her. You have to really feel sorry for her. She is just being smothered. Like I said, I've never seen anybody being attacked like Clark has been.

It IS!!!!! They have finished last for two seasons in a row!! They play NO defense, and they have nobody to get rebounds or block shots. They are not using Aliya Boston the way they should. They should adopt the offense that Iowa used, where Clark passed it to their center and she just laid it up. I know it's not as easy to do this in the pros, but they have to try something different or they won't win a game!!

Well Clark Don t have space because being a professional the players know something call defense . Playing defense dumbasses mean I not supposed to let you score or make it hard for you to score. Unfortunately for her in first two games she played four players that been on the all defensive teams for the last five years.. Clark got skills I will give her that but why she is listening to people on social media that can’t play basketball or play dead with acting lessons is crazy .. sue bird and tarsus was trying to warn her if she wants to be a champion she will have to learn other things in basketball then just scoring.. besides didn’t she try all the scoring in two college championship games if I remember correctly that didn’t work out too good for her.

Some of the stuff the coach says seems common sense, but listening to people who pay attention to basketball, it seems Caitlin is being used wrongly and she doesn't have much help. The league seemed to make the decision to shut Caitlyn down early with a front-loaded schedule. I don't think the WNBA wanted this kinda spotlight; with all the bad coaching, bad attitudes, calling the excited new fans dumb for wanting what they want. It's still garbage. They need 12 Caitlyn Clarks to bring enough excitement to this league to make it sustainable.

No one said that, but you. The narrative going around is that Clark is better than ALL the veterans, even the white ones. Did you see the two white women on the Liberty team that were shooting 3s against Caitlin's team and also in Caitlin's face left and right? No one said that Caitlin wasn't a good player. What is being said is that she is being overly hyped up by the media and her obsessed fans as the top woman's player in the world and these two games unfortunately proved that this simply is just not true.

How she was double and triple teamed, even locked down by 2 or 3 actually shows how much they fear her skill.. She has a huge target on her back and she will need the team to relieve some pressure.. She can't do it by herself.. That's why they call it a team..

Come on people, its only been 2 preseason games and 2 regular season games. She is on a team with players she has never played with before or who have played with her. Lynn Dune said it in the beginning; they brought Clark here as a complimentary piece to what they already had. Its not just the CC show! Dunn said while Clark is a phenomenal shooter, she is also a great passer and that is what they are looking for to compliment the 2 low post players of Boston and Smith. t takes time to adjust to a new team, new coaches, new city, and the speed of the game. Clark said it her self she hasn't found her game prep rhythm yet. These are pros, the do their own thing, its not like college where everything is regimented and they players have everything done for them. I mean just look at how Plum has had to adjust since coming into the W. She was the Nations leading scorer when she came in the league and she wasn't shooting lights out either. I believe of Clarks overwhelming popularity the masses have lumped way to much expiations on the young lady. Give it a year a two in the league and she will be fine. For all those fokes calling for Sides to be fired, I hope to see all of your names lining up for a meeting with Lynn Dunn to interview for the job 'cause yall seem to know why more about Pro Basketball than a coach and GM who have been in the league for decades. GOOD Luck!

Seems like Caitlin Clark may be a little overrated being given an exaggerated talent I noticed that she always tries to run behind a pic to get her shut off as if she can't get her shot off unless she has somebody to block for her to go behind so that she can shoot that doesn't seem like a really talented basketball player all the basketball players I've ever seen they shooting jump and elevate over you and shoot over you they don't need no pic to shoot the basketball with you seems like Caitlin Clark can't shoot unless she has a pic to run behind so that the defender came play in front of her I can't defend her where is Kaitlyn's clogged one on one game her offense against the defensive player seems like she always need a screen or a pic in order to shoot the ball I'm just saying can a person really be called good if they can't shoot unless they get a screen or a pic from their teammate, I saw Angel Reese and she didn't have to have a screen or pick she rebounds the ball up under the backboard with the bigs and she goes right back up in front of the bigs up under the backboard and shootsnow that's good but then that's Angel Reese I don't know if Caitlin Clark is made up like Angel Reese and has the ability to jump in the ability that's what I'm talking about the jumping ability that's why Caitlin Clark always need a screen or a pic to get her shot off that's not a good player that's a player who can't jump

The joy for the #1 pick is fighting for last place in the WNBA. Fever got #1 pick because they are so bad. So turn CC lose! Put two players to shadow her and interfer with the defense. Put the other two under the hoop for offensive rebounds and put-backs. Fans what to see how CC played in college. Let her run the show. Tell the coach to sit down, she is a loser.

They put that pressure on her trying to pushnher ahead of everyone ,if she is who yall say she is,it will happen but dont do it at the expense of bashing others,That has been there way.Clark did the wave off of Raven,Raven made her pay,she started with the John Cena cant see me,When it was done back her fans didn't likebit.Whyndont she just play the game concentrate on getting better, leave the trash talking and other gestures to those who can take it as well as dish it.I know its not Clark its her obnoxious fans, Because of Social Media they dont want to admit that has made her climb and rise faster than others not the way she plays thats a lie,If what im saying is not true, watch how her fans start turning on her if she doesn't produce thats how social media works. They can build you in one day and tear youndown in another very quickly. If her Fans stop the others will stop because people want the girl to succeed as well as the others,Im actually rooting fpr CBrink and the other rookies moving Quietly but Making waves, developing at there pace no pressure, unfortunately for Reese,as long as Clark has a bad game they are going to make sure they highlight her flaws her mistakes, knowing both , actually all the rookies need time to find there Groove. We can change this for these ladies if we all root for them without the negativity. But if you come for the others im coming for yours and trust me I know it m way ahead, because im mot a race fam,im a basketball fan,the race fans die out quickly, beca they need the instant gratification, and it aint gonna happen, you can keep blaming the Coach, her team, the other teams defense after awhile every excuse gets old .I will ne here to the end saying the same thing because i hope Clark succeeds but not at others expense,Thats not how Sports fan roll!!!

Stop, Sue Bird. Everything you just told was not true. Anyone can go back and see or read all she just said starting this video was a whale of a story. It was said about Clark when playing in the WNBA would not be like playing with 18-year-old (which that was not true as a whole), she would not have the success like in college with her play (really, in under 10 games being a pinball by the players and double team her stats are climbing towards the best in WNBA), and no one though (even herself) she would not have growing pains playing in the WNBA (that was stupid anyone thinking that who knows sports). The truth would be how she is seeing her team not really helping her along with the coach Sides. She is trying to be a teammate with teammates that seem not to want her because of rest of the other players not wanting her. There has been one person in the league that should be on their team and that is Seattle. It would seem what that team's coach said about Clark a few weeks back was a coach who could and maybe be more towards having her back. Sides do not have Clarks back, her teammates in these games do not have her back, and the other players talk nothing good about Clark more wanting to hurt her with cheap shots. What is worse would be the refs do not want her either with this lack of foul calling on other players and calls on her. The true fact to present the WNBA does not want Clark by the actions presented not by me but by the legions of the NBA players, many spoke persons on KZread on sports, and people fans of basketball. Who has been haters are talk show host really knowing nothing of the game, other women players, and anyone believing this Sue Bird interview, which I did like Bird till recently. I like her play in the sport just not her backlash to Clark not wanting to lose favor of her fellow players.
