Look niinii, I wanted olise more than anyone, but if the reports are true that he wanted to become the highest earner at Chelsea, then this is the only right choice. It would send a horrible message to the players, if we sign a player like olise to 300+k a week but don’t reward our own boys with that money. In the end, Olise didn’t want us bad enough, and it’s not Chelsea’s fault because they tied but olise and his camp were unrealistic

I’ve written a few times on this. I don’t get the Olise links. He is a phenomenal player for the inside half space on the right. But we have Palmer and Nkunku. They along with Olise are not players you sit on a bench and yet only one can start for the best flow of the team. Further context, Olise at Crystal palace showing his best form is in a 3 4 3. He doesn’t play as a chalk on your boots winger. He can, but not to the high standards that we are buying him for. Noni is way more productive in this area not only at taking players on, shots and driving in to the box causing overloads everywhere. He also makes Palmer a better player for not wanting to share the same space. Remember back when we had Essien, Ballack and Lampard in the same midfield. All three’s natural game was to crash the box. Instead Essien was assigned the holding roll. Ballack the tempo, play making, roll. Lampard the freedom to finish moves and crash the box. It worked, but shouldn’t have. They were the same as Gerrard, Scholes and Lampard. In my head with what I believe is common sense, players that shine in the same position never compliment each other. But, I was never opposed to signing him just to see what I had missed. To learn something new. I’d much rather use the money to sign a player on the left. Sterling to be sold (wages don’t = performances) and potentially loan Mudryk (he is a hindrance to the teams progression right now). Jackson filling in on both wings as an option. Palmer and Nkunku as back up if really desperate. Hutchinson and Angelo potentially being called up. Money should be on a back up box striker and a starting left winger. Stage 2 a starting goal keeper good with feet and starting left back that can invert or play as a 3rd LCB. Chillwell has to go. Fantastic player but doesn’t suit the system and we can’t afford to keep both injury prone Reece and Ben. Cucu and Gusto are back ups. The signings I would make should money not be the problem, Leao, Calafuria, Duran and I’m not going to pretend to know about keepers but the Leicester City keeper seems to fit the bill perfectly.

I saw this happening all along so never got my hopes up. I was completely with you that if we could only sign one player this window it would of been Olise for me. Imagine if you pay Olise £250k a week for example (I don't know the right figure), Palmer’s agent will be like, "Mate, my client is the star of that team and deserves more than Olise is paid." That's where the problem starts from. The fact we have options on the right, which will upgrade further next season makes it even harder to risk it.

Also, he doesn't play many games per season due to injuries. I think estevao and Kendry are talents, but it took Vinicius YEARS to get to the level. I am so elated Olise not coming, we dont need any new players. I PREFER MADUEKE TO OLISE ANY DAY. Plus we have players like Palmer, Sterling, Chukwuemeka, Gusto who can play right wing in addition to Madueke. We have Sterling, Nkunku, Mudryk, Jackson who can play center forward, and Chukwuemeka, Sterling, Jackson, Nkunku can all play left wing. Let's go with the team we have this season and see how things go, I believe we will finish top 4 and even challenge for the title. Only players I would make an exception for are Varane to give our backline more experience, Ansu Fati, he would be one of the best LW in the world if he gets fully rehabilitated and regain his preinjury form, Rashford I believe is still one of the best wingers and center forwards in the premiership, and Jhon Duran at a decent price. All of these players will not break the bank and would add tremendous value to the team.

We have 3 good rw Palmer Madu and Omari, Olise was always luxury and there’s no way we can carry his wages without ucl considering everyone’s and probably his wages would’ve gone up to what 300k with ucl qualification. He’s good but hasn’t done ANYTHING to warrant that money. Since when do prospects not at that level earn world class wages?
