Love you buddy!! Facts! My wife was a bank teller and was threatened twice by a robber. First time, no one did crap. She gave up the goods. However; 2nd time, the customers were alert and beat the robber’s behind; and tied him up till the cops showed up! Needless to say, the second group we’re county folk! Stand your ground!! To overcome evil, you have to fight it! Not cower to it!!! Quit saying nobody say nothing; total crap move!! Rise up!! Like it is written; for evil to triumph; good people don’t do nothing!!

One of these days black people will take time out and see what the first freed slaves did with their freedom. They left the plantation and took God, Family, and community with them. They never looked back, and they did not hold any animosity toward the past. They carved out their own success and the unity they displayed showed what ‘WE” could accomplish. Sadly, those accomplishments drew attention to them and the destruction of a unity that held them together for over 100 years was unraveled. Today we are reaping what we have sown. We have let the village go. But we must keep in mind how the owners were able to keep slaves controlled.

The song starts off innocent enough and with a good message that crime shouldn't be tolerated! Then it crosses the line with me as a Veteran! You don'r have a right to spit in a cops face but you most certainly don't have to agree with them and have a right to vocalize it! As a Veteran I am no fan of trampling on or burning the flag, but it is a Constitutionally protected right! He is calling to commit a violent act against someone engaging in a Constitutionally guaranteed right! I see the song as dangerous and catering to a small minded and violent corrupted small town mentality.

There are “small towns” (tight knit communities) that are black, white, brown, yellow, or any other color you can think of. There are places where people got their neighbor’s back. There are places where there are good ol boys (people just raised on good morals), who will not tolerate lawlessness, or people coming into their “small towns” to do harm. The modern train of thought is to ignore reality. Jason isn't saying anything that isn't already true, but it doesn't fit their view of the world, so.... The liberals in their big cities think everyone, even those in small towns, think and live like them. They think everyone should be overjoyed at the prospect of being a victim instead of standing up for themselves. That's not true in the small towns, regardless of what color the citizens are, that's why they live there. To GET AWAY from the crap. So, just like Jason says in a nutshell, basically FAFO.

As an older Canadian white lady who had never even heard of Jason Andean, I just love this song. It sends a powerful message that pushes back against all the violence we’ve witnessed in North America these last 3 years. I never would have thought about a racial component if the woke folk hadn’t pointed it out. I think you’re right, Ty, the people who consider this to be against black people must first hold a view that it is only black people who were involved in these riots - which is completely untrue!! Thanks for your bold stand against this nonsense. :)

The reason for the 'hate' of this song? The video was filmed in front of Maury County Courthouse in Columbia, Tennessee where, in 1927, a heinous crime took place against a black man. They are using this as their stated reason to scream that this song is inciting racial violence. Anyone with a brain can see they are just trying to make trouble, but unfortunately, some are eating the candy.

I don't even like modern country and I'm so stubborn I don't even want to listen to the song, but I did read the lyrics over and over and I can't find anything to be offended about, I try to put myself in their shoes of people from other religions and other ethnicities and I still can't find a reason to be offended, what's offensive about protecting old people? And what is offensive about being proud of where you come from and wanting it to stay a nice place to live? Someone could have written the song about life in a big town and about how they like it there and they don't want people to change that and it would not offend me, it would make complete sense to me, it's as always telling everyone in many different subjects, if you're looking for something hard enough you'll find it even if it's not there

You are a godsend. You speak the truth and I love your passion and integrity. You are so right. We all know each other in our small town and we all protect each other. This song spreads that message. There is nothing racist about this song, it’s a great song.

Excellent reaction! Well said! It's not a racially driven song. Its NOT about or against black people. It's about the unnecessary looting, destruction of the innocent caught in crossfire, violence, non-peaceful protesting etc ..... Some small town wouldn't tolerate this mindless-destruction. Well said renaissance man! 👏👏

CMT said this song was inciting violence. Which is a complaint about many. Rappers have way more violent lyrics to their music than this one has and incites not only violence but drugs, rape, stealing, and vandalism. No one wants to cancel them.

I want to say, I love your take on this issue. It’s not specifically about small towns. It’s about your community. I live in Missouri. It’s an open carry state and I wouldn’t want to raise my children anywhere that doesn’t have that.

I’ve already commented, but I want to add that we are transplants from Illinois to here in TN. The people here accepted us and took us in as their own. Nicest most down to earth folks you’ll ever meet, and I can call my neighbors 24/7 I I needed them!! Sorry I had to add that! Thank you again!
