New trial is the only way to stop Lally telling more lies. She never once said I hit him. She said over and over "could I have hit him" but Lally followed the lies he just heard by a witness who months before in the Grand Jury said... "she said... could I have hit him". She said it 12 times yet in the trial she lied. WHY?

@@NuncNuncNuncNuncexactly. The CW had access to all geofence data but chose to not get/use it. That would have answered all the who was where when. They likely knew what it would show. They could have demanded the phones of all people and got warrants for them. They chose not to as they feared what it would show. They collected enough evidence as sloppily as possible so it would show nothing definitive. But for the gullible enough to point at one person. But even that they didn’t collect and handle properly…why? Because if they had that too would have shown the crime of planting evidence.

Maybe do a full and unbiased investigation first and decide if the correct person is on trial?

@@s15240drifter69 -Vehicle Date showing a pedestrian collisions occurred. -Taillight found at scene -John’s DNA found inside taillight housing. -Karen’s strange behavior that morning (calling Kerry Roberts before 5am and yelling “Johns Dead!” then hanging up…weird thing to assume). That’s just a few things that point to Karen when you ignore the nearly impossible, if not impossible conspiracy that Karen and her defense tried to push, nothing but smoke and mirrors from them. Many of the lies the pushed through social media ended up being debunked during the trial. Makes me wonder what else they stretched the truth about in order to save Karen.

Always interesting to see a mainstream media’s version of events and how detached from reality they remain on all manner of issues.

Well it helped that Judge Bev knew there was a cop on the jury and a lawyer --- so guess who she named foreman . . based on the letter that came out - I'll bet you the attorney!!! She knew exactly what she was doing!! SMH

I could recite every moment from day a neighbor girl torpedoed my son’s left eye w a stick. The call, waiting to learn if my would survive his pneumonia that day as I watched him head out w 7 people from ICU for CT scan, how many floors the elevator stopped on before finally getting me as I heard screaming bwood mommy, bwood! Trying not to ruin car in way home flooring it home on median in Detroit to meet my 4 yr old, while leaving my dying father. If all was so devastating for Kerry & Jen, hectic? They’d remember every single traumatic detail!

I will donate to her defense because shes innocent, and the Commonwealth should be on trial!!! Commonwealth is on trial throughout this country!

now -- the police department should go back and do their homework --- I listen to the case and at best -- it was super "weak". Ms. Reed's defence was very solid.

Agree with commenter that suggested the case get reopened rather than retried. A lot of the chaos that accompanied the trial were a product of the lack of credible evidence and the incomplete investigation. Also agree that the Judge did do a good job of keeping control of the court. The jury was impressive.

Sadly, that would probably be moot even if they did reopen it. These people, purportedly in--or formerly--law enforcement, destroyed their phones after being ordered to preserve them. The dog has been "rehomed" and is no doubt ashes by now. Whatever rooms in the house or garage has likely been "refurbished". How any thinking human being can find her guilty after hearing the experts the FBI hired is beyond me. I imagine either someone with an Olympic gold medal in scientific illiteracy or someone who secretly had an agenda from the start. Good lord. People with doctorates used physics to rule out a vehicle but no, no, we have trooper Paul who used neither physics nor maths and spoke to the crime scene! Which told him that Karen hit John's arm with her tail light and he flew across the lawn in true Bollywood fashion. Jesus. The only thing missing was a ghost dog attack mid flight to account for the dog bites.

To much is happening after this trial and it’s not looking good for for State

I think the biggest issue is that the feds sent in their experts to prove he wasn't hit by a car after they told them not to try this case in the first place.

I don't care how confident you are that doesn't mean you're right.

Look up Sandra Birchmore. That started the investigation which led into many of the same cover up cops in this case. That's why the defense called witnesses that were hired, as Jackson put it, "not by us, not by the prosecution" who independently confirmed he didn't die from a car accident and those were dog bites.

The Governor of MA needs to step in & call for a full & unbiased investigation by the MA Attorney General's office. If reasonable doubt exists, the charges should be dropped against Karen Read... & if new suspects are found, consider going after them...

She was the cause of the turmoil. Karen should have been acquitted. Not juried.

As an outsider knowing nothing about this case until after the trial started, Karen should have been not guilty on all charges.

From Ireland, I followed this case. It should never have seen the light of day. The investigation would have been handled better by a despotic 3rd world country. The expert defense testimony was unasailable. How this was a hung jury begs the question of the intelligence and integrity of the jury members. You all are an international laughing stock right now.

You see here in the U.S. we have a jury system and if the jury cannot come to a unanimous verdict then it's a hung jury. There were multiple individuals in this particular jury who looked at all the evidence and thought Karen Read was guilty. IMO the O'Keefe Family will never have justice for the death of their Son, John O'Keefe due to the shotty police work, nonchalant attitude on followup in documenting & unprofessional behavior. It is clear that no one except the ppl involved truly know what happened that night & it would only b a guess with the evidence presented. As far as John & Karen's relationship is concerned, both John & Karen were adults whose relationship for whatever reason was unraveling & although John's family wants to blame Karen for the issues in same one can not hold Karen responsible for 💯 percent as John is equally responsible for his participation. We are all responsible for who & what we allow in our lives & Karen can not possibly b at fault for everything that occurred . WBZ is sloppy calling the death violent. The ME did not determine the death was a homicide and his head injuries are consistent with falling. O'Keefe would not be the first person to trip and fall after a night of drinking.

@@dawnmills6755 Did someone break a cracked taillight? With all the cameras available to everyone, not a single officer documented the taillight when the car was initially towed. The state's case was built on O'Keefe being hit by a car and then being thrown several feet, yet none of his injuries are consistent with that scenario. The state had the opportunity to explain why there were no injuries below the head, not even bruising, but did not.

Trooper Proctor did NOT admit he was looking for nude photos. He said he was making a joke, which I believe is true. He denied that accusation. Terrible reporting and commenting.

Yes Christina its disappointing, but CW looked like fools, because all their witnesses worked against proving Karen did it. The defense witnesses just told the story about the dog bites and the scientific accident analysis. CW did all the reasonable doubt in this case.
