I think the meaning Breaking Benjamin wrote the song was indulging in a detrimental habit. (i.e. an obsessive alcoholic justifying that extra six-pack at night, or a smoker justifying that one more smoke. Hence the "I won't stay long in this world so wrong".)

My favorite band

Breaking Benjamin are masters of melody. Every song of theirs has an amazing melody that makes singing along irresistible. This voice and these songs have shaped how I enjoy music.

Does anyone else feel like they’re in a complete trance whilst listening to this song? Like you’re staring down your enemy whilst an intense battle is happening around you? Just listening to this song alone puts me at ease knowing that there are a few problems going on in my life, but I tend to push them away while turning my back against them. I sometimes feel as if I’m trying to fight a battle that isn’t easily won all the while my hands are chained into an eternal abyss that leads to nowhere. You guys are a great band nonetheless, continue to make music and make your fans happy!

This song will forever have a place in my heart. Its the song that first got me into rock music and its been over a year. I love breaking benjamin, I love all of their songs, and almost any song i've listened to when i was down or upset. It's nice knowing i can say "I like rock music" and someone else can say "Oh me too! What bands do you like?" and thats just a fun human bonding moment for me, and we share the music we downloaded! So, yea. Dance with the Devil and Evil Angel were the first songs to really get me into the good music. I dunno where i was before xD
