Nowitzki I think always uses his left foot as the pivot foot, which is what right-handed players do. But Jokic used his right foot as the pivot foot, and can also use his left foot, which is so unique

Hope Monday the ESPN shows will not only recognize Jokic's brilliance but also credit the Nuggets for going 2-1 in arguably the toughest 4 day stretch any team has faced this year. 3 games in 4 nights starting with a fully healthy Cleveland team with the best defense in the league and top 5 home record, then on the road at Memphis v a top 5 D and the 2nd best home record and a team that had to have that game, then the next night in a back to back v a loaded and desperate Clippers team. Long distance travel between all the games. Truly impressive. #1 WC seed wrapped up.

Lue was one of the first to use a smaller guy and front Jok in the post. It worked a few times last season and famously 1 half in Philly this season when PJ Tucker fronted him. Looks like Jok has already made some adjustments in preparation for that strategy in the playoffs.

Nuggets very literally own the Clippers souls since they curbed stomped them in the last 3 games in the 2020 playoffs WC second round. A 4-0 sweep this year after regularly beating the Clippers like a drum for the last few years.

Jokic is the best player on Earth. He's way more consistent, and reliable than anybody else. He's not the most athletic, but that's not necessary.

Legler and JJ Redick are the best analysts/experts out there right now. Candace Parker in that mix too.

He was outclassed by KD, his team won him ECF and he DESTROYED the Suns. Suns were 4th best in WC but managed to go to the finals bc AD, Kawhi, MPJ and Murray got hurt. Next year that same PHX Suns team(even better) lost to Luka Brunson DFS and Bullock💀

Look at Jokic being an efficiency merchant and stat padding with that 10:1 assist to turnover ratio. Doesn't pass the eye test for me, needs to go 7/25 from the floor and play that 2 way game.

they don't call over the back or offensive fouls when he's leaning over the backs of other players and you can also call an offensive foul on most possessions when he's driving using his off arm pushing people and throwing his elbow. He had one foul in this game which is comical. Even look at him throw Paul George at 2:03 mark that went uncalled. They had Batum/Kawhi guarding him most of the game because they're undersized with their starting center and yet every time they touched him or even when he could've been called for the foul they blew the whistle against the clippers.

I used to eat like Jokic. He is fat on purpose. When I see jokic eat as he is now it reminds me of how I used to eat and it is frustrating and pisses me off that the NBA allows it. Not proud of it, I was known as Joey chestnut at my local Golden Corral and went through a phase when I ate triple servings of everything. Big rack of ribs turns to my blindside, didn’t care who was there. Charge right into the dessert. Smash into the best steak on D while going for the mashed potato’s, come what may. Limited cardio moves. So make no mistake about it. Jokic knows what he’s doing. He knows people will be disgusted. He knows his appetite is unlimited and this is how he can win. He knows people will go away when he starts eating, think twice on their diet, etc. He will only be stopped by a healthy meal like carrots, lettuce, broccoli, etc. Or by an obviously more balanced carb with equal Type A like wheat bread. He didn’t intend to be obese, but he certainly intends to show you that he doesn’t care if you get disgusted when his fat belly shakes over you. At least that’s how I used to eat. But that was lunchtime. Eventually I got to dinner, ate w bigger servings, ate real fatty foods w hostess. There’s no doubt in my mind Jokic eats more than some villages.
