She's THIS level of aggressive) like humans, she "arms" itself raising her frontal legs and showing how big her fangs are. And if the target still didn't felt intimidated, she will literally do a "BANZAI CHARGE" and attack, jumping in suicidal rage against the target (probably screaming "Blood for the Blood God" too) People in brazil also make jokes about her name, saying that she is "armed to the teeth" and lame puns... A friend and I caught a big black spider, when kids, once, and thrown it to a nest of fire ants. The battle was legendary, it lasted for hours. The ants won ofc with their massive armies leaving behind hundreds of ants comrades corpses. The spider gave and epic fight.

Pretty sure that spider the Mantis killed in the demonstration had venom strong enough to kill it at least. Venom means nothing if you're pinned in a position where your fangs can't reach your target's flesh/ exoskeleton. If the Mantis managed to wrangle this spider into a position where it couldn't bite them, it'd be all over for the spider once it took a couple strong enough bites.

Out of all the bug battles that I have seen, this one is my favorite. This battle is the only one that I could say the contestants are evenly matched to the point it was not about skill, it was about who had the most luck.

Mantis is one of my favorite insect since I was a child.. I really love it!!

It's riduculous how these bug experts try to make it sound like the mantis had a chance..while in reality it basically can't hurt the spider, and it is simply a soft prey item for that nightmareish spider.

Praying Mantis take down things larger than them a lot of the time, really the only thing that eats full grown ones are birds.
