Makes me prouder to be Irish because no matter how many times we got our arses kicked we came back and won our freedom, poor William started Scotlands fight for freedom and Robert de Bruce finnished it only for kingJames to take the first step in giving it away in 1604 by the union of crowns making Scotland's parliament a vastle of the English parliament and that voted to be abolished in 1709 and independence to be rejected again in 2014

I am not scottish, but bosnian...eversince I bought an pirate cd in I think 1997 on market in sarajevo named "celtic experience" this song follows me through some most grounded moments of my life. Like this sunday, this very peacefull sunday, where I just had some hours to think about our purpose, the people I love, their health, the years we share(d)...that's the melody that appears out of "nothing " like it comes to even it all out and to say "all is well".

William wallace is one of my favorite legends to Scotland with ne being Scottish i can say im proud for what he achieved for all Scottish people he will always be remebered as he stood up for oother Scottish people also when watching the movie i got so emotional as im a really emotional person and im proud os being Scottish Scotland forever 💙

Freedom,,,,, have seen this film 20 times,,,,, my late mother,,,,, who I only lost last year 😢😢 met Mel Gibson,,,, while filming brave heart,,, here in Ireland 🇮🇪,,,,, 1995,,,, in her home town she said they had a great chat for half an hour,,,,,, and Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 is a beautiful country similar to us irish 🇮🇪🇮🇪

All the best my friend! we are from the same stock! The Old Scots language is Germanic! i have a polish wife and we were once being shown around a museum in Poland and i was asked on more than one occasion if i was German! it really is amazing how many of our words sound the same with the accent!
