Braveheart makes the best denim jackets in the industry even over IH. American cone denim will always be king the price even better.IH is flawless in just about every way. But BH price and 14-16oz cone is perfect

I paid to return a pair a few years ago and upon arriving at Bravestar, they claimed the jeans were washed on my end and sent them back to me. Why would anyone expect a refund on top of paying for return shipping on a pair of washed denim? Will never make a purchase from them again. Good bang for your buck IF you size right but these guys are only concerned about the sale, customer satisfaction/service is insulting at best.

@@UrbanLadUK Like you, I happily pay 3 to 4 times more for IH not only because of the fit, quality and construction but also because their customer is the best I’ve experienced in any industry. They truly make you feel like your their only customer, happily giving information towards cuts and fabrics not to mention will measure individual pieces if you are particular with a specific area of fit. Any-who, I really enjoy your content sir. Cheers.

@baousa3837 I agree with your comment entirely. My issue was with a t-shirt. Luckily I have the Jean sizing down. When they told me I had to pay to send them back and to check the sizing info before I order next time, I told the, there would not be a next time.

i think you made some good points about how they are saving money, but USA made jeans with Japanese selvage for 138, is pretty darn good. i have quite a few pairs of Bravestar jeans a number of their jackets, and have been very happy with the fit and the quality is respectable. i have not had any of them fail, bust belt loops or lose buttons. i would suggest their reputation in the Heritage world is well established and a few minor criticisms are valid, but not enough to diminish Bravestars good name.

Currently wearing my 21.5oz Mayhem black selvedge jeans. After 44 days, it’s break in and feels soft or supple as Bravestar said in their website. I followed their instruction getting my fit, as my waist is 35 inches, I just choose the tag size 33 according to their size table. It not only fit well and with an extra room on my waist(am Asian), the slim fit jeans fit my legs and all with extra room. Gonna continue wearing it so I can try my luck at the Indigo Invitational next year.

Bought a pair in a size 33 waist. No complaints other than they were so big on me I could take them off without undoing the button. Bought another pair in a size 32, same cut, and they were so small in the legs I couldn't pull them up to my waist. They refused to take them back saying as long as the waist was the right size they were correct. They refused to accept my measurements of any other part of the jeans showing they were faulty.

I have noticed many people have a terrible experiences with BS, primarily due to the customer service. I was lucky, buying from the UK and not having to contact for support. I emailed them with a question about the denim's origin and never answered the email. I think is not only quality is customer service too, that made a brand stand up among so many denim brands.

I own 3 pairs of Bravestars they're not bad. I prefer Left Field NYC for American made denim. Freenote is good too. Kojima Genes is my go to for Japanese denim. I have a pair of 21oz straight fits. They are a pain to break in. Still working on them.

Some of the points are reasonable but you're being a bit harsh honestly. "Not good construction" is a hyperbole. These are great construction. On a scale of 1 to 10 in construction quality, mall jeans are a 3, Brave star is an 8 and Iron Heart is a 10. These jeans aren't going to fail due to the things you mentioned. They are 21 ounce and slim tapered... they're going to fail in the crouch just like an iron heart pair would. Customer service indeed sucks lol.

I myself love bravestar for the price and quality idk who could beat them and they had good customer service when I returned a pair that didn’t fit, later on a rivet popped off my 25oz sumo 3’s I bought on the fifth pocket about two weeks after I got them they said I could send em in for free repair, I didn’t because shipping was outrageous from where I live, later they sent me a gift card for the price of a pair of denim so I got a free pair. I’ve had the sumo 3’s almost 2 years haven’t had any problems with them

Nice to hear about your experience; that means that they have learned from the customers' feedback. The pair in this video has lost three rivets, which is not a good sign after casual wearing, and I have no answer from Brave Star; none of my other jeans, even the cheap ones, have lost rivets, I suppose different experiences 🤷‍♂️

I generally like your videos, but the points you make as proof for lower quality just don't make sense bro. These are very well made jeans. Maybe some nitty gritty details as cutting off a few millimeters of extra length after sewing the belt buckle are missing or there are no hidden rivets in back pockets. But they don't matter in grand scheme of things.

Have a pair of 21.5 Oz bravestars in true straights. Top button ended up tearing through after about 30 wears. A fluke for sure considering I own about 9 other pairs and have not had any issues other than that. Easy fix, sent in to railcar fine goods and had them repaired. Worn them about 5 more times and the darning on the button hole seems very strong. I think its worth the 138 bucks for sure.

I have a several quality problems with all those Brave Star jeans I’ve bought a few years back.. a couple time I’ve returned them and a couple of times just sold them. I don’t buy it anymore. The Selvedge denim is a luxury stuff and it makes no sense to me to try saving $ on them. Now days I go for the best: wear Samurai, Flat Head and ONi. Never looked back- those will last me a life time.

@@TheTarkvemada All though I have only had 1 issues with bravestars, I agree with you. After my 8th or 9th pair Im pretty much not buying them anymore aside from rare fabrics with nice color tones and will opt for ironheart and leftfield nyc. I like a tall backrise and front rise for tucking in shirts and bravestars dont really offer large high rises. The front rises on bravestars are super small but still able to work in and relax in with no issues but would prefer something not as snug after owning railcar fine goods, tellasons, and naked and famous which all had pretty comfortable high rise and back rise.

@@antoniobranco8005 I have 2 pair and they're both flawless. Both are about 6 months old with none of the flaws he mentioned. For me their customer service has been great. I screwed up my order and they fixed it at no charge to me. I'll admit my Iron Hearts are better. Higher stitch count with triple stitching but I'm not sure they're $260 better. Both of my Brave Star jeans were under $100 US, one was $98 and the other $82. For the price difference there should be no comparison at all though. When comparing 2 products you compare at the same price point. You DON'T bash a lower cost item because it doesn't equal up in your mind. I'm also willing to bet you and this "reviewer" are hype blind. Iron Heart is expensive and hype so they are the best and perfect. Humans are notorious for that. To bad Brave Star won this year with their cheap garbage.

@@dark_gravity_edc Hi First, thank you for taking the time to watch this review. I have no bias toward Brave Star. I have just done my review on the actual pair of denim that I bought with my money. It is my intention to be fair on every garment I review. To establish why the garment is well or bad constructed or good or bad quality, I must use an objective point of comparison; in my case, I choose what, in my experience with selvedge denim, is the best construction, also is an excellent way to say whether the price tag is fair (if you have a garment that is expensive but has a poor quality of construction, that garment is not worth it). As I have stated in the video, I recommend this selvedge denim as an entry-level point; if you intend to keep escalating in the selvedge world, you will realise that there are other options and that options are expensive for a reason. In this case, the affordability came with a price, and anyone of Us had to decide if we wanted to try Brave Star and if we were happy whit the quality/price. Also, this is my experience and review. I´m happy whether you agree or disagree; I don´t state that you must agree with my review; I can be right or wrong. It is very important to me to know the experience and views of other people and that it is all about participating, agreeing or disagreeing, and sharing experiences.

Hi!! Thank you for watching. It all depends on your point of comparison; you can compare cheap denim non-selvedge and going to be the best in the world; in my case, when I compare, try to do it against what I consider is the best, then you can make an informed choice, most of the people that get into selvedge start with something like Brave Star and finish with Samurai or Iron Heart. It isn't easy to find affordable and good-quality denim.
