That "random church" you visited is the Black Church, originally St Mary's Church, that burned down during the fire of 1689 that destroyed most of the city. It was left charred after the fire and still retains most of the original structure, although it had been renovated a few times. If you were to move from west to east, this is the last Gothic church you will find, therefore considered the border between the western and the eastern Europe. The "alley" you took is the 3rd narrowest street in Europe. It was originally built as a tunnel for the fire fighters after the great fire of 1689. In the past few years it keeps being vandalized by tourists. Panels were placed as an alternative but people prefer vandalizing the walls.

Is it difficult getting around and communicating if you don't speak romanian?

@@bellekordo Not really, you should do fine with English. Most people know it as a second language, and tourist signs are written in a few languages (English, French, German, Spanish are usually the most common). If you're worried about translations, you can use an app on your phone and either connect to the public wifi of Brasov, or choose one of some business like a restaurant or cafe, they're usually free to use.
that squirrel has some tufted ears! I love looking plants and animals that are similar to backhome and looking for their differences.
Looks like an espresso shot instead of coffee 🤣
Thank you for showing the beauty of Brașov. Fun fact that you definitely missed, Brașov's name was "Stalin" during the occupation by the USSR, we cut "Stalin" out of the trees on the same mountain you went up to. You can still vaguely see the letters from Belvedere.
that first squirrel was so cute
Try the belview at night, if you want 💕 you can get a really beautiful view of the city at night time ❤ It’s been 7/8 years since I’ve been to Brasov…✨
I live in that city în România ty for visiting!!
❤ no snow 😮 if that coffee was too small… in Finland you can get a pint of coffee😂
why do people always show east Europe in drab season? and west Europe in spring/summer?
Your so close to my city:(
Where's day 1?
loved the video Johnny.
IM in the Romania but I stay in brasov
That church is called the black church and has burned down 3 times, that street is the most narrowest street in the world., and yes, it is a street.
'Coffee here is way too small' 'So we are going to hike a mountain.' Sound logic lol
