Released in 1975 by United Artists Corporation, "BRANNIGAN" was another urbanized John Wayne actioner one year after he made "McQ" for Warner Bros. in 1974. the guy who composed the music for "BRANNIGAN" was the late, great Dominic Frontiere, who was both the composer and associate producer of ABC-TV's "THE OUTER LIMITS" in 1963.

Loved this movie and especially his female British detective partner. She was awesome. Hard to believe that Judy Geeson is 73 years old now. For the first half of the 1970s, John Wayne was one of the badasses of the decade. He's 68 here but just as agile as ever.

So Dickie Attenborough is a police commander in the Metropolitan Police (a rank analogous to a brigadier general), yet he can't marshal sufficient forces, or force of character, to break up a bar fight? The character he's playing should be retired on grounds of incompetence, he's obviously past it. At 4:46 how come one of the sections of roadway is ascending twice as fast as the other? In every video of tower bridge opening both roadway sections ascend at the same rate. The tower bridge scene in this film has always seemed really dumb to me. Brannigan managed to 'jump the bridge' two years before Frank Fonzerelli got around to 'jumping the shark'!
